Sawada Ryouta had always remained close with his childhood friends, Tachibana Ayane and Yoshioka Minato. From their early years until graduating from junior high, even though they were sometimes placed in the same class and sometimes separated, their bond never broke and their friendship continued. The three of them entered the same public high school, and during their first year, when Minato, his childhood friend, got a girlfriend, Ryouta took it as an opportunity to confess the feelings he had long held for Ayane. The two of them became a couple.
Minato congratulated them and continued to be just as close as before. When they moved up to their second year of high school, even though Ryouta ended up in a different class by himself, he truly believed that their relationship would stay the same as it always had, at least, until that day came.
