Chapter 268: The Club Manager’s…
The Club Manager’s…
The day of my juvenile hearing had come.
As expected, the details of the incident were reviewed calmly and methodically, just like in the rehearsed questioning.
I answered honestly so I wouldn’t make the same foolish mistake Kondo-kun had. Then I added a few words of token remorse.
It would be fine. I was a minor, so they couldn’t give me a heavy sentence. Besides, Ikenobu Eri, who was supposed to be the main concern, had only suffered minor injuries. That would be taken into account. Everything would be fine.
After a short wait, a middle-aged female judge returned and looked straight at me with a firm, unwavering gaze. I thought I could see a kind of resolve in her eyes. A bad feeling began to rise in my chest.
“Tachibana-san, your disposition has been decided. In this assault case, you are deemed the instigator and the leading party. Furthermore, the attack on Ikenobu Eri is viewed as a deliberate act carried out to conceal the evidence of your repeated harassment and criminal behavior toward Aono Eiji.”
She spoke in a calm, steady voice, but my sense of dread grew stronger. Wait, that couldn’t be true. There was no way. I was still a minor!
“Even taking your age of eighteen into account, this case remains extremely malicious. At your age, you should already have the judgment to tell right from wrong, yet you went as far as to cover up your actions. You used another person for communication and chose a foreign social media platform to hide your tracks. This clearly shows planning and awareness that what you were doing was a crime. In light of this, we must take the matter seriously and impose a strict punishment.”
It felt like I was being judged as a true criminal.
“Therefore, you are to be referred to the public prosecutor. Simply put, you will be tried as an adult for this case. Do you understand?”
Her words were cold yet powerful, and although I was momentarily overwhelmed, I couldn’t stop myself from speaking up.
“I’m still a minor. I can’t accept a ruling like this.”
At my words, the judge let out a heavy sigh.
“How disappointing. So your expressions of remorse were only for show. Listen carefully, Tachibana-san. Being a minor does not exempt you from guilt. You have committed a deeply malicious crime.”
She dismissed my protest completely and stood up from her seat. I sat there in shock, unable to move. If things stayed like this, I would have a criminal record. The thought terrified me.
bueno era de esperarse pero pensaba que acabaría en un psiquiátrico
ReplyDeleteWell deserve! Is all I can say. Have fun in your jail cell Crazy Ahh B*tch.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see some nice punishment. Can we get more happy time from Eiji now? Or are we still missing Miyuki's trial? I remember she testified against Kondo but I don't remember if she get her own punishment
ReplyDeleteWe're still waiting on Miyuki to get blasted in that Defamation Complaint. I suspect she's probably up next, if not, a few of the side-characters that participated, possibly Eri testifying against the morons that went to beat her up (in the very least, that's what they would do. Mitsuda or whomever it was playing double agent probably saved Eri's life, all things considered).
Delete* Unos capítulos mas adelante...
ReplyDelete- ¿Por qué tan elegante Homero?
- Hoy es el día en que encierran a Tachibana muchacho.
I didn't expect Tachibana to be of legal age (or at least that's what this chapter suggests), although she later claims to be underage. Now, that bitch is in for a MUCH WORSE PUNISHMENT THAN KONDO'S. Although she richly deserved it for all the chaos she herself caused, solely out of petty jealousy and for NOT HAVING EIJI'S DICK TO HERSELF.
ReplyDeleteI believe Kondo should have received the same punishment as her, since he was also the main instigator of the harassment. Furthermore, I'm very disappointed that Eiji or Hayashi (the literature student who sided with Aono) testified against her. I also would have liked Eiji to come face to face with that rat Kondo again and testify against him, since Aono's mere presence would have driven that son of a bitch Kondo crazy.
As for Miyuki, I don't think she'll receive any criminal punishment like Kondo and the manager did. After all, she's the only one who has shown genuine remorse and helped in the criminal investigation. But she won't escape the civil lawsuit filed by Eiji's mother, and besides, her life and reputation are already COMPLETELY RUINED
Something with Japanese Law, she's still in school so a minor, or she isn't the age of 20. I don't know specifically.
DeleteBut I agree with Kondo getting something harsher, if I recalled correctly, he is also 18 and ready to graduate, and he also has DV (bruising Miyuki's arm to set-up Eiji), with Malice Aforethought, or conspiracy, or something premeditated for planning to spread the pictures of the bruises, assault/battery for hitting Eiji. I really want to see Kondo get something a bit more serious, maybe some beatings from the "slaves" in the Soccer Club venting their frustrations at Mr. High and Mighty "Elite Citizen" f*cking their lives up.
I found it strange myself that Eiji wasn't at Kondo's Trial, seeing as how he was the victim of a beating. It will be doubly strange if he doesn't show up at Tachibana's trial. I assume that might be why this chapter is so short, as this is a hearing - which on another translation calls it a trial. I'm leaning on this being a hearing, making this translation more accurate
