His name is Matake Satoshi. He has average height, plain features, and a body that isn’t impressive in the slightest. Among guys, he falls well below the standard. Satoshi understood exactly where he stood in the social order, but even so, he was determined to date a beautiful girl no matter what. With that in mind, he came up with a bold plan.
He would try to get close to as many beautiful girls as possible and confess his feelings. His thinking was simple: if he confessed enough times, eventually, one of them would say yes.
He gave himself a deadline of three years. If nothing came of it by then, he’d let go of the dream. With that goal in place, he put his plan into action. But when those three years finally passed, in the spring of his second year of high school, the only answer he got was a painful one.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t go out with you.”
That one confession, the one he had poured three years of effort into, ended in failure. After facing thirty rejections, Satoshi finally gave in. He muttered to himself, “Fine. Starting tomorrow, I’ll just live a normal life.”
With his heart set on accepting reality, Satoshi began living a serious and ordinary life. But just as he was starting to settle in, something unexpected began to happen…
I dont understand why the author wants to push the most boring and plain girl for the MC, that trope has been done too many times in various ways, hopefully he took the hiatus to not go in that direction and find a better way.
