Nitta Kento has been part of a close-knit group of four friends since middle school: Muraoka Shota, Takayama Takeshi, and Sakimoto Maria.

Kento was the first one to reach out to Maria, but toward the end of middle school, Maria started dating Takeshi. From then on, Kento continued to see Maria purely as his best friend.

After entering high school, Kento begins occasionally going home with his classmate, Nagikawa Iori.

One day, he meets Iori’s friend, Miyahara Mai, on the way home.

Mai has an atmosphere that reminds Kento of the Maria he knew back in middle school. Before long, he finds himself drawn to her and begins making advances toward her.
