I was nothing more than something my parents created to control.

The life of Izumida Shun was decided from the moment he was born. Ever since he could remember, he was dragged by his father, a former badminton player, into endless practice routines. He never had time to play with friends, and he was never allowed to want anything for himself. His days existed solely to shape him into a player who would one day represent the country. That was the kind of life his father raised him to live.

By the time Shun grew up and entered high school, he had come to hate both his father and badminton more than anything. His childhood friend, the only person close to him, still blindly believed that Shun would become a famous athlete in the future and never questioned why he struggled.

No one understood him. His days in high school felt suffocating and hopeless.

However, Shun’s life begins to change little by little when he meets a girl who has been living under the same kind of fate.
