Chapter 53: The Real Storm
The Real Storm
After chasing off the rowdy boys, nothing in particular happened, and the morning session ended without incident.
After a lunch break, we would move on to the afternoon session.
“Satoshi-san, I made a boxed lunch. Would you like to join me?”
Naturally, I ended up with both Koriyama-san and Urui-san, and just like that one day, Urui-san smiled as she presented a large multi-tiered bento box.
Back then, a lot had happened and I hadn’t gotten to enjoy it properly, so I couldn’t refuse this time.
“Thank you. I’d love to.”
“I’m so glad! Ah, Koriyama-san, please feel free to eat too if you’d like.”
“I see. Thanks.”
After Koriyama-san’s neutral reply, we spread out a leisure sheet in a suitable spot on the stage, and Urui-san placed the bento on it and opened the lid.
“Whoa, this is…”
Just like last time, it was seriously impressive.
Every ingredient looked expensive at a glance.
“Now then, what would you like? My recommendation is the roast beef.”
“Then I’ll have that.”
“Okay. Here you go. Say ‘ahh~.’”
“Huh? Um, Urui-san?”
Why are you holding the chopsticks out like that?
“Is something the matter?”
“Well, um…”
On closer inspection, there was only one pair of chopsticks. Which meant she intended to feed me everything herself.
Unfortunately, I had only brought convenience store bread, so of course I didn’t have chopsticks. In that case…
“Koriyama-san, help—”
“Urui-san, can I try this hamburger steak?”
“Go right ahead.”
“Thanks.”
“Wait, Koriyama-san…!?”
Just as I tried to ask for help, Koriyama-san, having already finished her convenience store salad, used her own chopsticks to pick up the hamburger and put it in her mouth.
“It’s delicious…”
Of course it is!
It’s clearly 100% top-grade domestic wagyu!
“Here, Satoshi-san.”
“…”
If this were back in our classroom, I probably wouldn’t hesitate to surrender to my appetite.
Everyone in our class is used to this kind of thing.
But this was a space with regular students around. I couldn’t let the student council juniors see me in such a pitiful state.
“Satoshi-san, do you dislike it that much?”
“Ugh…”
Urui-san looked like she was about to cry.
Once she made that kind of face, I had no choice but to accept.
“…Satoshi-san!”
Resigned, I took the offered roast beef into my mouth.
“Yeah. It’s really good.”
Honestly, it was worth the shame.
“I’m so glad! Next is this steak!”
Once I overcame my embarrassment, there was nothing left to fear.
I let her keep feeding me dish after first-rate dish and was simply filled with happiness.
“How was it, Satoshi-san?”
“It was delicious. Thank you.”
“Hehe. I’ll make more next time.”
“Wait, that’s…”
“I’ll make more next time, okay?”
“Yes…”
After that, we chatted about things that had happened during the open campus, and then Urui-san said, “By the way…”
“I haven’t seen the president around for a while, have you?”
“Now that you mention it…”
Maybe something happened with those rowdy boys.
As I wondered that, Koriyama-san, who had just been enjoying the meat with us, spoke up.
“Fujikawa-san said she was going to pick up an alum earlier.”
“Ah, now that you mention it, there was something like that scheduled.”
“Hey, Vice President.”
“Well, I was too focused on having Satoshi-san eat the lunch I made.”
Seriously, Urui-san never changes.
“Still, an alum? I wonder what they need.”
Honestly, once I graduate, I doubt I’ll ever come back.
“I think it was something about the cultural festival.”
The cultural festival, huh.
Last year, thanks to a certain beautiful girl, it was the worst festival ever.
This year, I want to make it the best one together with the student council.
“Ah, speak of the devil. Fujikawa-san just got back.”
At Koriyama-san’s words, we naturally turned our eyes in the same direction. And then…
“No way…”
“Matake-kun?” “Satoshi-san?”
Following behind Fujikawa came a stunning beauty who left me speechless.
Because that beautiful girl was…
“Oh? I thought you looked familiar. Are you Matake-kun?”
“Uhyou-senpai…”
The beautiful girl who once dumped me more brutally than anyone else.
Apparently, the rampage of those rowdy boys had just been the prelude to the real storm.
