Chapter 9 Chatting Happily With Kento-kun at a Love Hotel (Nanami's Perspective)
Chatting Happily With Kento-kun at a Love Hotel (Nanami’s Perspective)
Late Saturday night. At a love hotel.
“Ahh, that felt amazing. How about you, Nanami?”
“Yeah, it was incredible for me too. Thanks for making me feel so good again, Kento-kun.”
After enjoying my time with Kento-kun, we lay on the hotel bed, indulging in some pillow talk.
“Haha, I should be thanking you. We’re seriously a perfect match physically, aren’t we?”
“Ah, Kento-kun, you always say things like that. You’re such a naughty guy.”
“My bad, my bad. But you love it too, don’t you? So, it’s fine, right?”
“Fufu, well, yeah. I love how amazing it feels with you, Kento-kun.”
“I’m glad to hear that. It makes me really happy.”
When I said that, Kento-kun smiled warmly and pulled me into a tight embrace, making me feel so happy.
After chatting about random topics for a while, Kento-kun suddenly looked like he remembered something. Turning to me, he said,
“Oh, right. Didn’t you have something you wanted to tell me, Nanami?”
“Eh? Oh, yeah, that’s right! Fufu, actually, I recently broke up with my boyfriend.”
“Oh, really? That’s kind of sudden. Weren’t you dating your childhood friend since middle school? Why did you break up?”
“Yeah, he was my childhood friend. Well, the reason is… let’s just say we weren’t compatible anymore. Something like that.”
“I see. Well, if it’s a compatibility issue, there’s not much you can do. Haha.”
I told Kento-kun about breaking up with that idiot childhood friend of mine. He chuckled lightly and responded casually.
“Yeah, exactly. But you know, now that I’m finally single… it’s about time, don’t you think?”
“Huh? Time for what?”
“Haha, come on, you know what I mean! Now that I’m free, it means we can finally date openly. So, let’s make it official from now on, okay?”
With that, I finally confessed to Kento-kun. Breaking up with that idiot had allowed me to start a relationship with Kento-kun—it was perfect!
Fufu, and I was so excited to finally introduce my boyfriend to my model friends…
“Eh? No, that’s not gonna happen.”
“…Huh?”
Or so I thought, but… Kento-kun rejected my confession. I hadn’t expected that at all, and my mind spun into chaos.
Even as I struggled to process it, I immediately asked him why.
“W-What? Why not?”
“Why not? Well, because I already have a girlfriend.”
“…What? W-What did you just say?”
“I said, I have a girlfriend. So I can’t date you. If I did, it’d be cheating, right?”
“Wha… What the hell!?”
His words hit like a bombshell, and I shouted in shock. Kento-kun looked startled by my reaction.
“Whoa, you scared me. What’s wrong, Nanami?”
“What’s wrong? You never told me you had a girlfriend!”
“Huh? I didn’t? I thought I mentioned it briefly when we first met.”
“D-Don’t mess with me! We’ve been sleeping together all this time… Was it all just a game to you!?”
“Huh? Yeah, pretty much. I mean, didn’t you think we were just keeping things casual?”
“W-What the hell are you talking about!?”
“I mean, you had a boyfriend this whole time, didn’t you? Yet you kept hooking up with me instead of him. That’s what people call a casual relationship, right?”
“Ugh… W-Well, yeah, but… Even so, hitting on other girls while you have a girlfriend… That’s just the lowest of the low!”
“Nah, my girlfriend’s fine with it.”
“…What?”
As I raised my voice, Kento-kun looked at me with a clueless expression and responded nonchalantly.
“W-Why would your girlfriend be okay with that?”
“Well, my hometown isn’t around here—it’s way out in the countryside. My girlfriend still lives there. Because of my modeling work, I rarely get to go back, and asking her to come to Tokyo all the time would be tough, right? So, we’ve been in a long-distance relationship this whole time.”
“Wha… And?”
“And well, being in a long-distance relationship was tough, but not being able to satisfy my physical needs was even harder. So, I talked to my girlfriend about it, and she said it was fine as long as it was casual. That’s why I’ve been meeting up with you—to satisfy those needs. Didn’t I tell you that from the beginning?”
“W-What!? You never told me that!”
I was stunned into silence. He was confessing that he only got close to me to satisfy his own needs. I couldn’t comprehend it.
“Huh, really? Well, whatever. You were always complaining about how you and your boyfriend were constantly fighting and how you weren’t getting your needs met, right? I’m sure you remember that.”
“Ugh… W-Well, yeah, I might’ve said something like that…”
“Exactly. That’s why our casual relationship was perfect, right? So let’s keep helping each other out and stick to being friends with benefits.”
“…!”
He said it so casually, laughing like it was no big deal. Seeing him act like that…
“…I’m leaving.”
I immediately felt disgusted, got out of bed, and started getting dressed.
“Huh? Why? It’s late—you’ll miss the last train. Just stay till morning.”
“I’ll take a taxi. It’s fine.”
“Aw, don’t say that. Stay with me till morning, and we can have more fun. You love morning fun, don’t you?”
“Like hell I do! I’d rather sleep in at home till noon than do anything like that with you again.”
“Oh, really? Okay then. Well, I’ll call you if I ever feel like meeting up again.”
“Go to hell!”
I shouted at him as he laughed carelessly, storming out of the hotel.
I never realized he was such a horrible, sleazy jerk. As soon as I got home, I deleted his contact info and blocked him on all SNS.
