Chapter 26 Reunion with My Ex-Girlfriend
#OtokotomodachiReunion with My Ex-Girlfriend
“…Oh, it’s just Nanami.”
“Excuse me? ‘Just Nanami’? What’s that supposed to mean?”
Seeing Nanami, I muttered under my breath. But apparently, she heard me, frowning as she snapped at me.
“…Taiki, who’s this beautiful woman?”
“Hm? Oh, she’s my ex-girlfriend.”
“Eh? Oh, so this is the ex-girlfriend you mentioned? She's a very beautiful woman.”
“Well, her looks are the only good thing about her…”
Nagi whispered to me curiously, and I explained who she was. He seemed surprised but couldn’t help commenting on how beautiful Nanami was.
Well, I’ll admit it—she’s incredibly pretty. At least, on the outside.
“Hey, why are you ignoring me?”
“I’m not ignoring you. Anyway, why are you here at my university? You go to a different one, don’t you?”
I asked Nanami, who was glaring at me in frustration.
She attends a different university, so why would she suddenly show up here? It was strange.
“Why else? I came to see you.”
“Huh? Me? What for? Did you leave something at my place?”
“Ugh, how dense can you be? I came to get back together with you.”
“…What?”
Out of nowhere, Nanami dropped that bombshell. I stared at her, too stunned to respond immediately.
Seeing my confused expression, she smirked triumphantly and continued speaking.
“Fufufu, making such a surprised face… you must have really missed me. Fine, fine. Let’s get back together right—”
“No thanks.”
“—away. Huh? What do you mean, ‘no thanks’? Being able to date a beautiful model like me is an honor!”
When I immediately rejected her, she looked stunned, her voice rising.
“An honor? Do you not remember why we broke up? You cheated on me. Why would I ever want to get back together?”
“Okay, fine, that was bad of me. But it was only that one time. Can’t a boyfriend forgive a single mistake? Holding a grudge over one little slip-up is so petty. If you’re a real man, you’d laugh it off.”
“Why are you acting like I’m the one in the wrong here? And it wasn’t just the cheating—you treated me like a servant the entire time we were together. There’s no way I’d want to go back to that life.”
“What? I never treated you like a servant. Don’t make things up.”
She looked genuinely confused, as though she had no idea how poorly she’d treated me.
“What are you talking about? I did all the cleaning, laundry, cooking—you made me do everything. You gave me orders every single day.”
“Well, of course. I was busy with work every day, so it only made sense to leave all that to you. We were dating, so taking care of me is part of the deal, right?”
“Busy with work? You spent all your time partying with your model friends!”
“Ugh, socializing is part of the job. You should understand that—it’s not like you’re a child.”
She sighed dramatically, acting like I was the unreasonable one. It made my blood boil.
“Why are you trying to make me the bad guy? We barely even did anything couple-like when we were together. There’s no point in getting back together.”
“What are you talking about? We did couple things—we even had s🬀x!”
“Yeah, like once every six months. And I wasn’t dating you for that anyway.”
“Ugh, you always have to argue, don’t you? Fine, then. Let’s have s🬀x every day from now on. Happy?”
“Wha—what are you even saying?”
“Fufu, don’t be shy. You’re a guy, right? As long as you can have s🬀x whenever you want, you’ll want to get back together. So let’s go to a hotel right now. We’ll call it a makeup celebration.”
“What!? No, seriously, what are you saying?—Hey! Stop clinging to my arm!”
“Fufu, no need to be shy. Come on, let’s head to a love—”
“Uh, excuse me. Could you let go of Taiki-kun? You’re making him uncomfortable.”
“—hotel. Huh?”
“Oh, Nagi…”
Just as Nanami was pulling me along, Nagi stepped in, his face filled with concern.
“Huh? Who’s this…?”
Nanami finally noticed Nagi, her expression turning to one of shock.
Knowing her love for good-looking guys, she was probably struck by Nagi’s appearance.
Smirking, I decided to tease her.
“Haha, what’s wrong, Nanami? Did Nagi’s good looks make you fall for him at first sight?”
“H-huh? What are you talking about, Taiki? A handsome guy?”
“What do you mean?”
“Isn’t it obvious? This person… is a girl.”
“…What? Huh—what!?”
“…!?”
Nanami pointed at Nagi, saying something completely baffling. I couldn’t process it and ended up shouting.
When I looked at Nagi, I noticed he was just as stunned as I was.
