Chapter 27 A National Idol Gets Drunk and Things Get Complicated...

A National Idol Gets Drunk and Things Get Complicated…

“So, Amagi-kun, you’re really close to your little sister, huh?”

“I guess so…”

“But I was surprised she calls you ‘Onii-sama.’ Do you have that kind of hobby, Amagi-kun?”

Amane-san asked with wide eyes. Shirasaki-san looked at me with the same curious expression.

“No, it’s not like that… She just started calling me that on her own.”

I don’t know why, but at some point, she began calling me “Onii-sama.”

“By the way, am I staying over tonight?”

“Yeah, it’s still raining heavily. Why don’t you stay? Kanade-chan is staying too.”

I guess that’s how it’s going to be…

When I looked at Shirasaki-san, she gave me a thumbs-up.

And so, I ended up staying at Amane-san’s house for one night—

“Phew, that was delicious. We had such good meat. Amagi-kun, you and I will handle the cleanup, okay?”

After enjoying sukiyaki, Shirasaki-san said this to Amane-san.

But Amane-san’s reaction was slow.

“Amane-chan?”

“Yeah, I’m fine, you know?”

“Amane-chan, your voice sounds strange. Amagi-kun!”

Noticing something was wrong, Shirasaki-san called out to me.

Amane-san was dozing off, her cheeks faintly flushed.

“I think it’s because she drank a🬀cohol.”

On the table was a small can labeled “Horoyoi” (tl: slightly alcoholic).

“When did Amane-chan drink…? Wait, isn’t she underage?”

“I think she turned twenty-two weeks ago.”

“Oh, right… Still, was it strong?”

Shirasaki-san looked at the empty can curiously.

“It says 3%, but I don’t think that’s too strong.”

“I see. I didn’t know Amane-chan couldn’t handle a🬀cohol.”

Even Amane-san, the perfect idol, had her weaknesses.

As I thought that, she looked up at me with a drunken expression and spoke softly.

“Amagi-kun~”

“Y-yeah…”

Amane-san’s words were slurred.

“Will you listen to my troubles?”

“Your troubles?”

Her sweet expression revealed a vulnerability I’d never seen before.

What kind of worries was she hiding?

As I wondered, she began to speak.

“Everyone thinks I can do anything, but I have a complex.”

“You do, Amane-san?”

“Yeah, I’ve never had a boyfriend before, and that’s my complex.”

“Eh?”

Come to think of it, Shirasaki-san said something similar at the movies today.

I thought she was joking, but it seems this really bothers her.

“Lately, I’ve wanted to experience romance. Amagi-kun, you’re pretty much my type. Want to go out with me?”

Did I hear her wrong?

Amane-san had just said something outrageous.

“What are you talking about? You’re joking, right?”

“I’m not joking!”

She was just drunk.

Her speech was clearly slurred.

Concluding that, Amane-san, emboldened by her intoxication, hugged me tightly.

Her body pressed against mine, and when her chest touched me, I couldn’t help but be flustered. The warmth and softness of her body made my heart race.

This was too much physical contact…

“H-Hey, you’re way too close!”

“Heeey, Aa-ma-gi-kun. Go out with meee~”

The situation kept escalating.

Panicking, I tried to gently push her away, but she clung to me with surprising strength. For some reason, her drunken grip was abnormally strong and unyielding.

With her arms wrapped tightly around my back, I looked at Shirasaki-san for help.

“Amane-san is really drunk and out of control!”

“Y-Yeah! I’ll help!”

Shirasaki-san rushed over and grabbed Amane-san’s arm.

“Amane-chan, let go of Amagi-kun!”

“Nooo~ I don’t wanna~”

Shirasaki-san struggled to pull Amane-san away. However, Amane clung to me like a child hugging a stuffed animal, refusing to let go.

What is even happening right now…?

I was utterly bewildered—

After the chaos, I found myself lying on a soft bed.

When I opened my eyes, I saw Amane-san sleeping nearby and Shirasaki-san beside me.

The room was quiet and dark.

I never thought we’d end up sharing a bed, the three of us.

“Amagi-kun, are you okay? That was quite the ordeal earlier.”

Shirasaki-san’s voice was gentle.

Hearing her, I felt a sense of relief.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks for earlier…”

“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure Amane-chan doesn’t bother you.”

“O-Okay…”

From above, the bed arrangement was Amane-san on the left, Shirasaki-san in the middle, and me on the right.

So unless something extraordinary happened, we wouldn’t end up in the same situation as before.

Besides, Amane-san was already fast asleep.

Honestly, I didn’t think there was anything to worry about…

“By the way, Amagi-kun, about what Amane-chan said earlier—asking you out—what will you do?”

Shirasaki-san brought up the topic again.

Even though she was drunk, Amane-san had said she wanted to go out with me.

I figured it was just a slip of the tongue and not her real feelings.

We hadn’t known each other very long.

“Of course, I’m not going to date her. She probably doesn’t even remember saying it.”

“I see… Well, I’m tired now, so good night.”

With that, Shirasaki-san closed her eyes, so I followed suit.

A few minutes passed, and as I tried to fall asleep—

That’s when it happened. Shirasaki-san moved closer.

Quietly, as though I were a pillow, she snuggled into my arm.

“Shirasaki-san?”

I called softly, but there was no response.

Listening closely, I heard her gentle breathing.

She had already fallen asleep.

I couldn’t wake her, so what should I do…?

Her warmth and the unexpected closeness made my heart pound.

Today has been nothing but surprises.

Still, having Shirasaki-san cuddle so freely was… kind of nice.

I realized our distance had shrunk a lot.

Thinking that, I resolved to somehow fall asleep.
