Aida’s Mother’s PoV
How did it come to this? My son, who entered a prestigious high school in the prefecture and had enough talent to compete in national soccer tournaments… He was supposed to be my pride and joy. I was so proud I would boast about him to relatives and neighbors.
“This happened because you raised him poorly. And why did you post such nonsense online in the first place? Now, our address is exposed, I get cold stares at work, and I can’t even shop in peace! It’s because you’re an idiot that he ended up getting involved with the police!”
My husband, shirking all responsibility, lashed out at me like that.
“…How selfish can you be?”
Overwhelmed by emotions, I snapped back at him.
“What did you say? You’re the one being called a ‘Monster PTA Mom’ online! Don’t you dare talk back to me! It’s over for us. Our son got arrested, dropped out of high school, and became a full-fledged criminal for trying to gang up on and assault a girl. He vandalized school property and bullied his classmates. We raised a total sc🬀🬀bag. And thanks to your mess, the neighbors know everything. I can’t even go to work anymore. This is all your fault!”
“That’s not true! He was just led astray by bad kids. He didn’t mean to do anything that terrible. It’s all because of that senior, Kondo!”
“I don’t care. Either way, he’s getting expelled, just like the other soccer club members. I’m done supporting someone like that. When he comes back, you and he can get out. Divorce, disownment—whatever. If you’re so eager to defend him, do it on your own.”
My husband stormed off to the kitchen as if trying to escape. I heard the sound of something breaking.
Everything is falling apart. Just a few weeks ago, our everyday life seemed so normal, but now it’s been destroyed because of my son.
My husband is so proud; he might even quit his job over this. I want to fix our relationship somehow, but the threatening voice recording I made at the school has become a digital tattoo. No matter how many times I’ve requested its deletion, it’s useless. It will never disappear.
Since that recording surfaced, my husband has looked at me like I’m filth.
I don’t know what kind of face to show when my son comes back.
Can I ever love my son again?
As I crumble into tears, I watch the collapse of my family gradually become reality.
In the dark, cold house, I’m left all alone.
Eiji’s PoV
Ai-san closed her eyes. I understood it was a signal, so I gently claimed her lips. Her breath was unbelievably soft and sweet, her skin so tender. We kissed while embracing, and I could feel her warmth.
My mind was completely overwhelmed.
The second kiss was long and filled me with incredible happiness and contentment.
“We did it, didn’t we? A kiss.”
Speaking slower than usual, her face was bright red.
“Yeah.”
“You probably know this, but that was my first kiss.”
Her words sent a jolt through me.
“Thank you.”
“What are you even saying? You’re making me embarrassed. Senpai, maybe it’s different for you, but I was so nervous!”
Her seductive tone and upward gaze made my head spin.
“It was my first time too.”
She let out a small “Eh?” in surprise before smiling.
“That’s good. Then it’ll be a lifelong memory for both of us.”
Blushing as she spoke, she kissed me again. It felt like we might never stop.
“That’s enough for tonight. If we keep going, I won’t be able to stop.”
I was overcome with strange feelings—a mix of happiness and loneliness.
“Well, I’ll head back to bed.”
She slowly rose from the futon, leaving behind a sweet scent.
Turning back after standing, she looked so reluctant to leave.
I almost told her not to go, when…
“Actually, can I sleep next to you tonight, Senpai? I don’t want to be alone.”
There was no reason to refuse.
