Chapter 33 A New Resolution and Her Selfishnes
#Sareta OtokoA New Resolution and Her Selfishness
The first day of winter breaks.
I went to Iroha-san’s apartment at 10 a.m. to pick her up.
Last night, belatedly, I finally realized something.
When it comes to romance, I think I’ve always been passive.
As a result, Chika went with another guy, and I was left feeling unhappy and bitter.
That’s why I decided to reinvent myself as a new Sakamoto Taichi by leaving my hometown, but I was about to repeat the same mistake.
I don’t want to go through that kind of pain again.
I’m still afraid of s🬀x and have no confidence at all, but if I fail, I’ll apologize again and again and try my best until she’s satisfied.
Wasn’t it the same with the entrance exam?
My grades were so low that a national university was practically a pipe dream, but I endured a stomachache, devoted myself to studying, and somehow managed to pass the exam on my first try.
I should be able to work hard at s🬀x in the same way.
Even if she says “people who are bad at s🬀x are useless,” I would never give up.
I’m going to keep trying until she acknowledges me.
It’s probably the only thing I can do to stay with Iroha-san in the future.
Standing in front of the door to Iroha-san’s room, I pressed the doorbell with a new determination in my heart.
Immediately, I heard Iroha-san’s voice from inside saying, [Yes~], and then the door opened.
Iroha-san was wearing glasses today, but her hair was loose. She was wearing a brown knitted one-piece dress and black tights—a rare adult outfit that showed off her curves.
I felt a stronger pull than usual today, thinking that she had dressed up to meet me because I had made a new resolution.
But it had always been like this since Iroha-san became my lover.
She dressed up for me, made me a balanced meal, and even prepared c🬀🬀doms for me.
The more I get to know and understand Iroha-san, the more endearing I find her.
I want to hug her.
But for some reason, Iroha-san seems a little stiff today.
Sensing this, I greeted her more quietly than usual.
“Good morning.”
“Good morning, Taichi-kun. I’ll be ready soon, so please come in and wait.”
“Okay, I’ll come in.”
I entered the room and obediently sat down in my usual place as instructed, noticing the traveling bag on the bed.
Iroha-san seemed to be tying up her hair while leaving the bathroom door open.
When I looked at the bag on the bed again, I noticed that it was bulging, as if something had been packed into it.
Is this the luggage I’m supposed to take with me?
Could it be….
“I’m sorry to keep you waiting without offering you tea.”
Iroha-san came out of the bathroom, and her hairstyle had changed to a half-up style, making her look a little more mature than usual.
“Oh, that’s okay. You don’t have to rush. I’ll make the tea.”
“No, I’ll make it, so please sit down.”
“Okay, go ahead.”
Iroha-san took a bottle of tea from the refrigerator, poured it into two glasses, placed one in front of me on the lower table and another opposite, and then sat cross-legged facing me.
Iroha-san definitely has a different vibe today.
Not only her clothes and hairstyle, but also her expression, or rather, the air around her feels stiff.
Could it have something to do with the traveling bag?
“Um, Taichi-kun.”
“Yes?”
“Can we talk before we go out?”
“Yes, of course. Is something wrong?”
When she heard my answer, Iroha-san’s expression seemed to harden even more.
I wonder if something serious has happened.
“Actually, today is my birthday….”
“Really!? Seriously!?”
“Yes….”
“I didn’t know… I’m sorry. I didn’t prepare anything. I’m your boyfriend, and I didn’t know.”
Iroha-san shook her head and replied in a soft tone, “I didn’t tell you, so of course you didn’t know. Don’t worry about it.”
“But anyway, happy birthday. I’ll prepare a present for you later. Since it’s so sudden, I don’t think I can prepare anything fancy.”
“No, wait! I don’t need a present; I have a request!”
“A request? Please tell me anything. I’ll do anything.”
“Well… my request is… I want to spend the night….”
“Huh? Spend the night? Oh! With me?”
“Yes… for the whole winter break, if possible.”
Iroha-san replied with a bright red face, looking down.
So she had prepared the traveling bag for the whole winter break.
Until now, Iroha-san and I had maintained a surprisingly healthy relationship for college students, always making sure to be home by 9 p.m. at the latest.
Even during this winter break, I had planned to send Iroha-san home by 9 p.m.
If we spent the night together, we might end up sharing a bed.
And the c🬀🬀doms she had prepared.
It seems the situation is heading toward s🬀x more than I expected.
I can’t get cold feet at this point.
My mind is made up.
“Okay. It might be a little cramped, but if you don’t mind my room….”
“Really!? Starting tonight?”
When I agreed, Iroha-san leaned forward excitedly.
“Yes. Should I prepare a toothbrush and stuff?”
“No need! I’ve already prepared everything!”
“I see. But why do you want to stay there all of a sudden? It’s a bit unexpected.”
“Well… it’s because… every time you come, Taichi-kun, you always go home at night. I feel really lonely after that. I want to be with you all the time. I felt so lonely at Christmas, too, so since it’s my birthday today, I thought I’d give it a try.”
“I see. I’m sorry, I didn’t realize.”
“No! It’s just my selfishness! I knew you were always careful and made sure to go home early. So I had to be patient too.”
“I wish you would be more selfish with me, Iroha-san. You’re so kind, and you always put me first, so I wish you’d be a little selfish sometimes. I wish you would have told me about your birthday earlier. Then I could have prepared a celebration.”
“Actually, I wanted to tell you yesterday, but you seemed busy, Taichi-kun.”
“Oh, I see. I’m sorry. It was my fault.”
“No, no! That’s not what I meant. Taichi-kun, you’ve been looking a little down since you got sick at Christmas, and I thought if I told you about my birthday it would be too much for you, so I couldn’t bring myself to tell you.”
“We’re lovers; there’s no need to be so reserved.”
“Yes, that’s right. Taichi-kun, don’t be reserved with me either.”
“Got it!”
After the conversation was over, Iroha-san relaxed her stiff expression and smiled her usual cheerful and lovely smile.
We moved from Iroha-san’s room to mine, had lunch, and then went to the supermarket to buy a feast for her birthday party.
At first, we thought of having yakiniku or sukiyaki, but then we noticed crab, and when I asked Iroha-san, “Fukui is known for Echizen crab, right?” Then she said, “They often eat it at New Year’s in my hometown,” so we splurged and bought it and decided to have crab pot for dinner.
In the evening, the two of us enjoyed crab with a crab pot party, and after doing the dishes together, we decided to take a bath while ventilating the room that smelled of crab.
I asked Iroha-san to go first, and then I went in order. After I got out of the bath and dried my hair, I returned to the room and found Iroha-san relaxing in the kotatsu reading a book, and then I took the initiative to say to her, “Iroha-san, I have something to tell you.”
