Chapter 82 Last Day of the First Semester
#Ikemen no Bishoujo TomodachiLast Day of the First Semester
After the teacher’s closing remarks, the last day of homeroom for the first semester comes to an end.
With summer vacation starting tomorrow, the classroom suddenly becomes noisy. The classroom is filled with happy voices, and it’s a much more festive atmosphere than usual.
In this noisy world, Sou silently prepares to go home.
He can hear the voices of his classmates, both male and female, but he doesn’t pay any attention as he moves his textbooks and notebooks from his desk to his school bag.
“Hey, Sou!”
“Sou-kun! Good work today!”
“Amanecchi!! I came today too!”
Just as he’s getting ready to go home, Haruki, Mizuki, and Manami visit Sou’s class and surround him as usual.
“Summer vacation starts tomorrow, right? Why don’t we all have a lot of fun?”
“Great!! Manami agrees with Mizucchi too!!”
Manami is the first to agree with Mizuki’s suggestion.
“I agree too. What do you think, Sou?”
After the three have agreed, Haruki asks Sou.
Haruki, Mizuki, and Manami all look at Sou. They are all waiting for his answer.
“Yeah. I think that’s a good idea.”
Not wanting to ruin the mood, Sou agrees without thinking about their plans for the summer vacation.
“Sou can go too. Good. I want to discuss our summer vacation plans in detail, but it’s too noisy here. So why don’t we talk about it on the way home?”
“Manami agrees.”
“Me too.”
Mizuki and Manami keep nodding their heads. Haruki and the others seem to be annoyed by the loud voices in the classroom.
…Yes. It really is loud.
Sou agrees with Haruki’s suggestion, and the four of them leave the classroom.
The hallway is also quite loud, but it’s a bit quieter than the classroom.
“So where are we going?”
Manami, who seems to like nature, starts first.
“A pool or the sea, somewhere summery?!”
Mizuki follows Manami’s suggestion as well.
“Okay, give me some options! You can give them!”
Haruki takes her smartphone out of her bag and starts the memo app.
“Um! The pool and the beach!”
“Summer festivals, camping! And the mountains and the amusement park….”
Manami and Mizuki are excited about having fun, and one by one they mention the places they want to go. They’re all classic places, but they’re definitely places that look like they’d be fun.
“The pool, camping, and amusement parks. Great. I get it.”
Haruki doesn’t miss anything Manami and Mizuki say and types what she heard into the memo app on her smartphone. She seems to be used to it. Her typing is also incredibly fast.
“It looks like it’s going to be fun everywhere. What should we do? Maybe we should go to all of them?”
Haruki doesn’t reject any of the options and accepts them all favorably.
““Agree!!””
Haruki and Manami both agree at the same time.
“Then that’s settled. Is everyone okay with the money?”
“I’m fine.”
“Manami has savings too.”
“Um. Sorry, I don’t have much money….”
While things are going well and with a sense of apology, Sou confides that he doesn’t have much money.
At the moment, he only has about 10,000 yen, including the contents of his wallet and the amount he keeps at home. As far as he knows, 10,000 yen will disappear after about two days of playing.
“It’s okay. Then let’s get a part-time job!! Of course I’ll work with you!!!”
Without showing a single hesitating look, Haruki expresses her intention to work with Sou.
“Oh! So Haruki-chan wants to spend more time with Sou! I won’t let that happen! I will work with Sou-kun too!!!”
“Well, Manami too!! I need some money too!!”
Mizuki and Manami also speak out against Haruki.
“Sorry guys, I’ll work alone; you three don’t have to work together….”
“““That’s definitely no-no!!!”””
After receiving strong opposition from Haruki and the others, it is decided that they will work part-time for the first week to save money.
When the plans for the beginning of the vacation are decided, the four of them split up on their way home.
“Ah. I guess this is where we all split up.”
Haruki and Manami go in the same direction, while Sou and Mizuki go in different directions.
So this intersection naturally becomes a parting point for the four of them. This is where they always part on their way home.
“Well, see you later.”
“See you later.”
“Bye.”
“See you all next time.”
Then they each chose their own way home; Haruki and Manami went in the same direction, while Sou and Mizuki took different routes.
When he arrived home, he took the house keys out of his school bag and unlocked the door.
He entered the house and said a half-hearted greeting, “I’m home”. This was Sou’s routine when he came home.
Silence.
There is no one else in the house except Sou, so he can’t expect an answer.
He takes off his shoes at the front door, which is the same as usual, carefully puts them in a shoebox, and climbs the stairs to the second floor.
Once in his room, he put his school bag on the floor and began to take off his uniform. He took off his clothes one by one and hung them on the hanger he always used. Then he changed into a white jersey.
Ding-dong. Ding-dong. Ding-dong.
Just as he is about to lie down in bed to relax, the rhythmic sound of the doorbell rings in his ears.
“Who could it be at this hour?”
Not remembering any visitors and looking annoyed, he descends the stairs and takes his place on the first floor. To avoid any trouble, Sou opens the door to his house without checking the camera on the intercom.
The sunlight from outside shines into Sou’s house. The world outside his house appears thanks to the open door.
When the door opens completely, Mizuki is there. Mizuki still wears her school uniform.
“Hehe. Sorry, all of a sudden. I came to spend the night. …Is that bad?”
