“…Thanks for taking the trouble to take me home.”

After Fujita ran away, Sou guessed that Manami was still scared, so he decided to take her home.

They were on their way. Following Manami’s instructions, the two of them walked side by side to her house.

“Not at all. No problem. But are you okay? Aren’t you feeling sick from fear or something?”

After expressing his honest feelings, Sou was worried about Manami. He was worried about Manami’s mental state.

“…I think I understand why Haru-cchi and Mizu-cchi fell in love….”

After blinking in surprise, Manami murmured in a low voice that Sou couldn’t hear.

“Huh? Did you say something? Sorry. I didn’t hear.”

Not hearing what she said, Sou asks again.

“No. It’s nothing!! I was just talking to myself!! Don’t worry!!”

Manami seems flustered for some reason and flaps her hands in front of her face.

“Really? That’s okay then.”

Sou doesn’t follow up because he thinks that he might make Manami feel uncomfortable if he persists too much. So, with his doubts still lingering, Sou goes to Manami’s house.

“This is Manami’s house.”

Manami points to a house. The house is all white and two stories high.

“I see. Then you’re okay now. I’ll go home, too.”

Deciding that his business is done, Sou says goodbye and starts to go home.

“Oh, wait a minute. Wait!!”

Just as Sou takes a few steps forward, Manami calls out to him.

“Thank you for helping me today, taking me home, and everything. From now on. Um, can we be closer? No?”

Manami asks Sou with a tense, stiff expression on her face.

“Closer? I don’t mind at all. If that’s what Miyagi-san wants.”

Tilting his head quizzically, Sou doesn’t refuse and agrees. He doesn’t understand Manami’s intention when she says she wants to be closer to him than she is now.

“Really!! It’s a promise!! I have your word!!”

After Sou’s answer, Manami speaks quickly.

“Uh, yeah… Okay…”

Sou was a little overwhelmed by Manami’s emotion.
