Chapter 7 TV Show Discussion with the Bar Hostess (5)

TV Show Discussion with the Bar Hostess (5)

The hostess saw a flicker in Isaac’s eyes when he said nothing.

Then she crossed her arms, looked down at Isaac, and said,

“I think it’s time for you to pay the bill that’s been piling up.”

Isaac looked up at the hostess with a flutter in his eyes.

“Eh, now?”

“Yes, now. If you have money to spend on a game like that, why don’t you pay me first?”

The hostess had never said anything like that to Isaac before.

So, Isaac looked up at the hostess suspiciously for a while, but she seemed to be serious.

“How much? I have some very redeemable, so I’ll give you them….”

“80 million in cash.”

“What?!”

“No precious metals, no Internet; you have to pay 80 million in cash.”

Unable to pay the unexpectedly high bill, Isaac stood up and confronted the hostess.

“Hey, hey, hey! Wait a minute! What the hell with that bill?! It wouldn’t be like that if I were staying in a super luxury hotel!”

“We are in a top-class bar, right?”

“Huhhh….”

Isaac looked around the bar.

The hostess says it’s a top-class bar, but it’s just a small, dimly lit bar in the depths of an alley in a corner of the capital that fills up as soon as 10 customers arrive.

Besides, Isaac hasn’t seen another customer in the bar in three months.

“Any complaints?”

“No, well, that kind of spirit is important.”

“Not only did you stay in this top-class bar for three months, but you received my treatment and care, and you were hidden from the police and the Public Safety Committee. You’re not going to tell me that 80 million is outrageous, are you?”

This puts Isaac at a disadvantage.

He has indeed gotten his hostess into trouble.

The price in these situations is not determined by the market price but by the position and relationship between the two.

“All right, I’ll pay. I’ll pay. But what’s the joke about paying cash? There is no way I would carry around a wad of cash that would fill up my little bag.”

“No haggling. Pay cash.”

“Why?”

“Because you’re a wanted man. I’ve seen a lot of sharp-eyed guys on the street lately. They are not moving on the surface, but under the surface, they are desperately looking for you. Under such circumstances, if I accept your very redeemable metals, they’ll track me down, and I’ll be in danger.”

“Then give me three hours. I’ll exchange them for cash.”

“No. Right now.”

“What about installments?”

“Only in bulk.”

The hostess rejected Isaac’s request with folded arms, motionless as a stone statue.

Isaac held his head.

Parts of what the hostess said made sense, but as a whole, it was nonsense.

He can’t help but feel that he’s already been accused of something.

Even he became unsure if she really wanted him to pay the bill.

“Come on, pay up.”

“Wait a minute. I’m thinking of something else.”

“5…, 4…, 3….”

“Stop the countdown!”

“2…, 1…, done. We will now move on to enforcement.”

As Isaac prepared himself, the hostess took out her phone and started doing something.

“What are you doing?”

“I reported you.”

“What? Seriously?”

The hostess laughed heartily. Isaac’s face turned pale as he looked at her.

“I told you. There are better things to sell than gossip, right?”

“It’s true; you can surely sell that for a higher price!”

Isaac said as he screamed, grabbing only his phone and his old sword and running out.

Just then, the door of the bar slammed shut.

“Excuse me. I’m the police.”

“You’re too early!”

When did the police in this country get so good?

If they could deliver pizzas, that would be a big help to their finances.

Isaac tried to escape reality while trying to find another way out as the clock ticked.
