Chapter 5 TV Show Discussion with the Bar Hostess (3)

TV Show Discussion with the Bar Hostess (3)

“Gaah…” The hostess said tiredly as she looked down at Isaac’s head cowering on the counter.

“If you’re not interested, why did you marry Mina-sama as if you were robbing her?”

Isaac stroked the top of his head with his left hand and began tapping rhythmically on the screen of his phone with his right hand again.

“I’m bad at hearing people. It was my evil parents who arranged the engagement.”

“But from Lovecraft’s point of view, it’s as if you cuckolded Mina-sama. Now that you’re married, you’re doing what you have to do, right? What a married couple does.”

The hostess smiled like a cheap gossiper, but Isaac nodded awkwardly and turned away, saying, “Hmm, hmm.”

The hostess narrowed her eyes quizzically and stared at Isaac’s face.

“What’s with that reaction?”

“Nothing, nothing.”

Isaac’s right hand continues to tap rhythmically on the phone, but he refuses to make eye contact. The hostess’ eyes glow.

“Maybe you didn’t?”

“What?”

“Having s🬀x, making babies, intercourse? Haven’t you?”

The hostess gets close enough to Isaac to feel his breath on her nose.

Isaac deftly twists his upper body to try to escape, but finally, he takes a deep breath and says in a very low voice.

“…I didn’t.”

“Never?”

“…I never even touched her.”

“Seriously!? Do you know what s🬀x is?”

“I know! I hate it so much because of my b🬀🬀tard dad.”

“So you’ve done it with other women?”

The eyes of the hostess changed and became cold, like a prosecutor in front of a suspect.

“How is that possible?”

Then the hostess pointed to Isaac’s lower body.

“Then who did you deal with to calm that wild b🬀🬀tard down?”

“Don’t call him a wild b🬀🬀tard; you haven’t seen him yet.”

“What are you talking about? When you came, you showed me that b🬀🬀tard free.”

“Ah, I remember.”

“Who was it who carried you n🬀🬀ed and covered in blood into the bedroom, cleaned you up, and gave you first aid?”

“Ah, thank you for all your help back then. Madame saved my life. I’ll never forget that favor. Thank you very much. By the way, it was on TV yesterday….”

"So, who did you do it with?”

The hostess doesn’t follow Isaac’s lead and looks him straight in the eye.

The figure he is looking at looks like a beautiful matriarch who is about to pass judgment, and in this situation, there is no point in talking to her or deceiving her.

If he did not answer truthfully, he would incur her wrath.

Isaac, having given up hope, hung up the phone, leaned back on his elbows, and said.

“I’m still a v🬀🬀gin.”

“Vir…gin?”

The hostess tilts her head and stops, like a robot that has failed at voice recognition.

Isaac stopped speaking as well.

There was a strange awkwardness and silence between them for a while.

“Is v🬀🬀ginity you mean from a famous work of literature?”

Isaac replied grimly to the hostess, who had recovered from her freeze.

“I am not smug enough to compare myself to a work of literature.”

Isaac tried to hide his awkwardness and embarrassment by making harsh remarks, but the hostess’ eyes remained wide with shock and disbelief.

“No, no, because that’s impossible, isn’t it? The king who took the queen was a v🬀🬀gin. How long have you been married?”

“Five years.”

“How old are you?”

“I’m 27 and Mina is 22.”

“The heir?”

“If it’s Lovecraft’s child, it will be soon.”

At the time, Isaac thought that might be why he was almost killed.

If Mina was carrying Lovecraft’s child while the king was still alive and well, that would be a big problem.

Of course, Lovecraft’s position would be in jeopardy.

If the reason was a gift from heaven, they wouldn’t have been able to choose the timing of the murder.

“No way…the king hasn’t touched his young wife in five years. I can’t complain even if the queen has another man…”

The hostess shook her head, shaking her wavy black hair, and stepped back, expressing her disbelief with her whole body. Then, she took out her smartphone from under the counter and saw an ad for a gossipy newspaper. And quickly tapped on it with her finger when she saw the number.

“Hello, I heard that! He’s a v🬀🬀gin! The former king is a v🬀🬀gin! Mina-sama told him that I can’t sleep with someone who smells like a v🬀🬀gin. And I heard that he was a v🬀🬀gin who had never shared a bedroom with anyone!”

“Don’t do it! Please don’t give my personal information to the gossipy newspaper! People will believe it! I can’t go out tomorrow! Please don’t!”

Isaac yells and tries to grab the phone from the hostess.

The hostess pushes Isaac’s face away and pulls the phone away from her ear.

“I’m kidding. No one would believe that story, and it wouldn’t even be gossip. Besides, if it is a story, I’ve got a better one.”

“Better story?”

“Well, that’s it. I wonder if that’s the reason why you’re still smiling even after Mina-sama was cuckolded.”

“What’s wrong with being a v🬀🬀gin?”

“You think it’s good?”

“V🬀🬀ginity is good. It makes you pure and dreamy and doesn’t make you a playboy. Attachment creates bitterness, but virgins don’t get attached to s🬀x. In other words, v🬀🬀ginity is nirvana.”

“You idiot. You fell into ruin after your wife was taken away from you, so it’s more harm than good.”

When the hostess told him so bluntly, Isaac pouted, fell silent, and began tapping rhythmically on the screen of his phone again.
