Chapter 4 TV Show Discussion with the Bar Hostess (2)

TV Show Discussion with the Bar Hostess (2)

“What kind of man is Lovecraft?”

The hostess pulls out gossipy articles from the newspapers and magazines stacked haphazardly on the counter.

“He is a commoner and does his work well and diligently. His skills are neither good nor bad. He has no outstanding achievements, but Mina chose him.”

“Everyone knows his official profile. He was a childhood friend of Mina-sama.”

“Yes, he even promised to marry her when he was a child.”

“Did you have them look into it?”

“I heard it straight from Lovecraft. Like a love story.”

Isaac crossed his arms and nodded, and the hostess sighed.

“Why are you so carefree? Isn’t that Lovecraft’s declaration of victory, ‘I have your wife’?”

“… Ah.”

“How slow. You’re a bit of a fool, considering you’re the villain who tore apart a couple who loved each other.”

“This is how I’m treated in all the media.”

Isaac also picks up a newspaper on the counter.

All the media say the same thing about the relationship between Mina and Lovecraft.

Lovecraft and Mina were bound by a red thread, and the King had interfered. It was fate that brought them together, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Although Mina and Lovecraft have not announced their relationship, they are already the official couple of the nation, and it is widely rumored that they will hold their wedding ceremony at the same time that Lovecraft is appointed Prime Minister.

“Feel like something’s missing? A story about Lovecraft that doesn’t make it into the media. It’s a well-known story among those involved.”

“What?”

“Lovecraft was a great womanizer.”

The hostess turned to the TV in disgust as Isaac pointed it out with pretentiousness.

“You’ll know what I mean when you see it.”

The TV showed Lovecraft’s speech.

Lovecraft stands passionately in the center of a specially constructed stage, with Mina standing elegantly diagonally behind him.

Behind him are five aides, all women.

Four of the five were women mentioned in magazines.

The one looked familiar, but before Isaac could remember, the screen switched to another.

The aides were all dressed in blue with a uniform image, but each was dressed in a suit designed to bring out their individual charms. Even through the old televisions, it was clear that they were of high quality.

“There is no doubt that a man who is particular about such things is usually a womanizer, or is gay or bi.”

When the hostess nodded like a fashion commentator at a TV show, Isaac added a few comments.

“That suit was designed with Lovecraft thinking about how erotically he would take it off.”

“Take it off? I thought Lovecraft was dating Mina-sama.”

“Tsk, tsk, tsk,” Isaac said, wagging his finger cheekily.

“Three months ago, Lovecraft was dating these four people in addition to Mina and another woman.”

The hostess tilted her head.

“Wait, so he has dated 5 people so far?”

“No, no. He dated Mina at the same time. Maybe it’s still the same now.”

The hostess rolls her eyes.

“Does that mean he’s… six-timing?”

“Yes. Lovecraft is running an election with the women he’s currently dating as his aides.”

“Unbelievable.”

Even after saying that, the hostess’s mouth is still half open.

“He really is a harem king. That guy, no matter how busy he is, always goes to the women’s room twice a week to make sure they are properly satisfied. There was even a time when he was with four women in one night. And yet he still gets his work done, so I wondered when he slept at all. He met Mina every night, so maybe he just slept on her body.”

“Hey, that’s horrible, right?”

“There is more. Despite everything he does, he never has problems with the women around him. An amicable solution without any coercion, intimidation, or financial problems. I even had Mina examined secretly, thinking of the possibility of drug use or brainwashing, but there was nothing abnormal. There was no sign of secrecy either, and everyone involved knew about it. That guy is a bit weird, including that part.”

“Yes, that’s right. He’s crazy.”

“He seems to be seriously thinking about making all the women in the world happy with his own hands, and he says that everything he has done so far is the result of his hard work to realize his dream. Well, as a man, I’m impressed by how crazy he is. Don’t you think so, madam?”

“I think so too. Maybe it’s too late.”

“Right? Wow, he was amazing. That’s crazy….”

When Isaac laughed, as if boasting about his evil friend, the hostess slammed her hands on the counter and raised her voice.

“No! You’re the one who’s crazy! Lovecraft is crazy, but you’re much worse!”

“Eh… why?”

Isaac gave her a stupid look, and the hostess put her hand to her face and shook her head.

“Don’t you think anything of it? You knew that Mina-sama had been having an affair for a long time. Not only you, but everyone around you knew? If that’s the case, it means that everyone made fun of you! They laughed at you behind your back. They did whatever they wanted in your own castle! Normally, that would make you angry! So why are you smiling?”

Isaac looked into the face of the hostess, who screamed indignantly as if she had made fun of him and said, “Hmm,” with a tilt of his head.

“Because I thought it would be better that way.”

“What?”

Isaac placed his smartphone in front of the hostess.

“I couldn’t help but want to spin the gacha, so I left the work to Mina and Lovecraft. So I was free….”

“That’s enough!”

The hostess smashed the corner of a thick phone book over Isaac’s head.
