From Now On, Let’s Enjoy College Life Alone

So, once again, my name is Sawashiro Yuki. I’m a third-year male student at a university in Tokyo.

I’m about 175 centimeters tall with short black hair, and I’ve been physically active for a long time, so I’m quite muscular.

I lived in the countryside until I was in high school and moved to Tokyo when I went to college. Now I live in a student apartment in Tokyo.

As for hobbies, I like to exercise and cook. When I was a kid, I used to go hiking in places full of nature, and fishing by the river, and I loved filleting and cooking the fish I caught.

So I thought I might be able to do something similar to what I’ve been doing at a university in Tokyo, so I joined the club whose purpose is to “play with nature”.

It was not a full-fledged nature club, but rather a casual, fun-loving group that went to riverside areas or popular campgrounds to have barbecues and drinking parties.

But it was a very enjoyable club because it allowed me to interact with a wide variety of people. When I was in the countryside, there weren’t many people my age, so it was very new for me to be able to interact with so many people my age.

So after I joined the club, I took the initiative to do the behind-the-scenes work for the club so that all the members could have fun, and I also actively organized the drinking parties.

I also worked hard to deepen the club’s relationship with other university outdoor clubs and create opportunities for interaction with many other university students. And yet….

“Sigh, I thought everyone was happy….”

I didn’t know that they weren’t happy with what I was doing.

And I was really disliked by all the club members. Sigh, that’s really shocking to me….

“…but I guess it can’t be helped!”

Well, it’s certainly shocking, but since it happened, there’s nothing I can do about it. No matter how much I think about the past, the result won’t change.

“But on the other hand, from now on, all the work of the club is gone, so from now on, I’ll enjoy doing what I want to do to the best of my ability!”

So I quickly changed my mind and made such a resolution.

I could spend my time on my old hobby of cooking, or I could go hiking or solo camping in the mountains. Or maybe I should find a new hobby.

When I think about it, I’m really excited and happy. I’ve been putting so much effort into running the club that I haven’t had much time for myself. Okay, from now on, I’ll put all my energy into enjoying my hobbies.

“Ah, but first I have to hand over the club….”

Well, even if I say hand it over, it’s okay because the club president, Kusumi, is still there. All the materials I used to run the club are in the club room.

I also told Kusumi to contact me anytime if there is a problem, so there is no problem in the university club.

“So that means… The only thing I have to do is contact the other university outdoor clubs, right?”

I was basically the one who communicated with them that we were in contact with, and I was also in charge of all the joint events and drinking parties.

But now that I’ve quit the club, it wouldn’t be a good idea if I didn’t quickly let them know that they can no longer contact me about such club-related matters.

"Okay, then…that’s it!”

So I immediately e-mailed the presidents of the other university outdoor clubs I was in contact with. With this, all my problems should be gone.

“Okay, then I’ll make sure to value my time from now on!”

I said to myself, pumping my fist in the air. I’m so excited that my new college life is about to begin!
