Chapter 22 My Daughter Is a Precocious Girl at School
#Papa to Kekkon SuruMy Daughter Is a Precocious Girl at School
Ohai Academy, where Satsuki attends, is the best preparatory school in the area.
She is basically an excellent girl, and her test scores were amazing.
āI like to study because my father praises me a lot.ā
Ever since elementary school, whenever she got a good score, she would bring it up and say, āDaddy, look!ā So I praised her well.
Satsuki likes to be praised. It seems she studied a lot because of that.
Back to the story.
That is why there are so many excellent students at Ohai Academy. And usually, families that emphasize studying also seem to have enthusiastic parents.
(Now, I didnāt realize how many parents came to todayās class observation.)
When I arrived at the school and looked around, I saw a lot of people who looked like parents.
They were all walking around, looking at the printed information that the school had distributed. They were probably looking for their childrenās classrooms.
Depending on the location, it is not uncommon for high school students not to have their parents come to class observation. However, my daughterās school is an exception, and it seems to be the norm for parents to attend.
(I see. So parents can meet with the teacher after the class observation.)
There is one more thing I was wondering about.
After the class observation, there is a time for āinterviewsā. The class observation itself seems to be in the fourth period; after that, everyone can go straight home.
But parents who want to can apparently meet with the classroom teacher and discuss various topics.
(I would also like to have an interviewā¦ I would like to say hello to the teacher.)
The school was very helpful to me.
I had a proper discussion with the school about Sashaās mother and the fact that I didnāt have custody. The current peaceful situation has been achieved because of that.
Itās partly because of the teacherās cooperation that we are able to live our days in peace.
(Now, my daughterās classroom is a 2ā3, if I remember correctly.)
I was looking at the printouts and trying to find her classroom as well.
Then, suddenly, I heard a voice.
āDad (ćć/Papa)ā¦ no. Father (ćē¶ę§/Oto-sama), how are you?ā
Itās unusual for someone to use Oto-sama to call her father these days.
I wonder if there is an Ojou-sama here. Well, it seems that there are many children from wealthy families at Ohai Academy. Isnāt it strange that there is an Ojou-sama as well?
I thought so.
āFather, itās terrible of you to ignore me. I came all this way to pick you up.ā
The hem of my shirt was pulled. Whatās that? Arenāt you talking to me?
Hmm, it sounds similar to Satsukiās voice, butā¦ itās probably not the same. Because Satsuki doesnāt call me āFatherā, sheās always called me "Dad" since she was three.
Maybe she got the wrong person. A chubby uncle like me is the standard for middle-aged men. It is not surprising that someone mistook me for someone else.
āSorry, I think youāve got the wrong personā¦.ā
I turn around. I look at the girlās face, and my eyes widen.
āWrong person? I couldnāt possibly mistake you for my father.ā
A girl with beautiful silver hair.
She looked like a doll. She was my daughter, as I had always seen her.
āSatsuki?!ā
When I froze in surprise, Satsuki put her face close to my ear. Then whispering to me.
āDad, I came to pick you up, and you ignored me. Thatās terrible.ā
Her damp breath tickles me. But more than that, Satsukiās attitude tickled me.
Why does this girl act like an Ojou-sama?
āAh, because you were so different, I thought you were someone elseā¦.ā
āNo, father. Iām always like this.ā
Youāre lying!
Youāre more of a naughty girl than elegantālike an Ojou-sama.
I only know Satsuki as a naughty girl. Thatās why I thought it was funny to see Satsuki acting like an Ojou-sama.
(I see. So thatās why Satsuki didnāt want me to see her at school.)
I finally understood why she was so shy.
Apparently, this girl wears a cat mask at school. She lives her everyday life in a very precocious way.
(Sheās cute, butā¦ a little funny.)
āFufu.ā
So, I canāt help but laugh a little.
Seeing this, Satsukiās cheeks puffed up and her eyes filled with tears.
āUgh, you promised not to laugh!ā
āN-no, Iām not laughing! Iām not laughing, so donāt cry, Satsuki. Your Ojou-sama-like skin is peeling off, you know?ā
āIām not Ojou-sama! Iām always like this!ā
I couldnāt help but laugh as she unintentionally revealed her true self.
I was happy to see a different side of her.
I really found her to be an adorable girlāā
