Chapter 2 Kicked out of the University Club

Kicked out of the University Club

“Sigh, you
You really don’t understand the vibe of the club, do you? Why do you argue so confidently?”

When I argued firmly, Kusumi sighed and said something like that.

“Eh? No, what do you mean I don’t understand the vibe of the club? After all, I do a lot of planning and behind-the-scenes work for the club members—”

“That’s what I meant! We just want to have fun and hang out with the club members, and all you do is get in the way with your weird projects! We don’t need a guy like you who doesn’t understand the vibe and is annoying in this club anymore! Hey, don’t you think so too, Narumi?”

Kusumi yelled at me. And Narumi Takaki (éłŽæ”·ćæšč), who was sitting next to Kusumi, also yelled.

“Yes, I feel the same as Kusumi. Doesn’t Sawashiro know that you’re a weirdo and don’t have a good vibe?”

“No, so what does that mean? I don’t understand when you say I don’t have a good vibe. Please be more specific.”

“Ah, are you serious? For example, you always try to get everyone to go home right after a club meeting or a drinking party, don’t you? We haven’t had enough to drink yet. But you just act like the leader and force everyone to go home. That’s really shit because you don’t understand the vibe at all, so you should stop, okay?”

“No, no, it’s natural to give the order to break up when it’s late at night, right? Especially since the number of girls in the club has increased a lot since last year. There have been a lot of dangerous incidents lately, so it’s bad if we don’t let them go home before the last train. If something happens to the girls, we’ll feel sorry for their parents.”

Of course, I can understand why Kusumi and the others want to keep the party going even later. It must be fun to talk to so many girls while drinking.

But if we think about it normally, it’s definitely not a good idea to keep the girls up past midnight. That’s why every time I plan a club meeting or a drinking party, I always try to plan it so that we can break up by 10 p.m. at the latest.

“Haah
 you
You really are an idiot, aren’t you? Of course, all club members want to stay up late drinking and having fun! That’s why no one wants to go home early, idiot! Don’t decide everything based on your meaningless sense of values! Isn’t your selfishness really bad? If you go out into society, you’ll be kicked out in no time.”

“Eh? If there are people who need more drinks after the breakup, why don’t they just go to the after-party themselves? I don’t have anything to say about that, as long as everyone enjoys themselves at their own risk. I’m just saying that it’s not right to keep everyone in a drinking party until midnight.”

“Huh? Are you seriously an idiot? If you, the vice president with a high position in the club, give the order to break up the party, of course, everyone will obey the order and go home! That’s why we always go home frustrated because we can’t drink, even though we all want to! Don’t you understand that?! You really are an idiot!!”

When I said that, Kusumi and Narumi immediately objected. But the way Kusumi talks, it’s like
.

“W-What’s that? The way you say it makes it sound like
it comes from all the club members.”

“Ha! Of course, it is! I always invite Shijou-san and the other girls to the after-party at the end of the party, but they always leave with an incredibly sad look on their faces, saying. ‘Sawashiro-kun said we should go home, so I’m just going to go home’. The other members all feel frustrated too, but the vice president orders them to go home, so they just follow your orders!”

“Eh!? Ah, that Shijou-san!? No, but she always looks like she’s having fun
.”

“Of course, everyone smiles when you’re around! Are you an idiot? When you’re not around, the club members are totally pissed off at you!!!”

“That’s why the current atmosphere in the club is so bad because of you. We’ve also received a lot of complaints from other members who say that they joined the club, but they don’t enjoy it because of the vice president, who always makes arbitrary decisions and messes things up. How are you going to take responsibility for this?”

“W-What!? We get complaints like that
.”

I hadn’t expected to receive such complaints from the club members, so when I heard that, my mood immediately dropped.

“Hahaha, why are you so shocked? You’re so weird and annoying; it’s only natural that the club members would hate you!”

“Hahaha, isn’t that right? How insensitive is Sawashiro to think that the club members wouldn’t hate you? You are such an idiot; it makes me laugh.”

“
”

“Hahaha, anyway, for the sake of all the club members, why don’t you quit the club quickly? I mean, you’ve ruined the atmosphere of the club so much that it’s only natural that you take responsibility and quit, right? You think so too, don’t you, Narumi?”

“Yeah, that’s right. I agree with Kusumi; you made such a mess of the club, so why don’t you just quit and get out of the way?”

Kusumi and Narumi told me that with a laugh and a sneer.

I didn’t know that the club members hated me that much. I was shocked and couldn’t move for a while, but if everyone really hated me that much
.

“
ah, I get it. I didn’t know everyone hated me that much, but if that’s the consensus of the members of the club, then okay, I’ll quit. I guess I should just quit.”

While suppressing my sadness, I told Kusumi and Narumi that I was quitting the club.

When Kusumi and Narumi heard what I said, they immediately smiled broadly and said to me.

“Hahaha, that’s good to hear! No, I was sure Sawashiro would say that for the sake of the club! Well, good luck with that, Sawashiro!”

“Ah, you made a good decision! You’re Sawashiro, after all! See you later! Oh, don’t ever come to this club room again! Hahaha!”

“
ah so, bye then.”

So today I’m quitting this club that I’ve been a part of since my first year of college.
