“Sigh, you… You really don’t understand the vibe of the club, do you? Why do you argue so confidently?”

When I argued firmly, Kusumi sighed and said something like that.

“Eh? No, what do you mean I don’t understand the vibe of the club? After all, I do a lot of planning and behind-the-scenes work for the club members—”

“That’s what I meant! We just want to have fun and hang out with the club members, and all you do is get in the way with your weird projects! We don’t need a guy like you who doesn’t understand the vibe and is annoying in this club anymore! Hey, don’t you think so too, Narumi?”

Kusumi yelled at me. And Narumi Takaki (鳴海孝樹), who was sitting next to Kusumi, also yelled.

“Yes, I feel the same as Kusumi. Doesn’t Sawashiro know that you’re a weirdo and don’t have a good vibe?”

“No, so what does that mean? I don’t understand when you say I don’t have a good vibe. Please be more specific.”

“Ah, are you serious? For example, you always try to get everyone to go home right after a club meeting or a drinking party, don’t you? We haven’t had enough to drink yet. But you just act like the leader and force everyone to go home. That’s really shit because you don’t understand the vibe at all, so you should stop, okay?”

“No, no, it’s natural to give the order to break up when it’s late at night, right? Especially since the number of girls in the club has increased a lot since last year. There have been a lot of dangerous incidents lately, so it’s bad if we don’t let them go home before the last train. If something happens to the girls, we’ll feel sorry for their parents.”

Of course, I can understand why Kusumi and the others want to keep the party going even later. It must be fun to talk to so many girls while drinking.

But if we think about it normally, it’s definitely not a good idea to keep the girls up past midnight. That’s why every time I plan a club meeting or a drinking party, I always try to plan it so that we can break up by 10 p.m. at the latest.

When I said that, Kusumi and Narumi immediately objected. But the way Kusumi talks, it’s like….

“W-What’s that? The way you say it makes it sound like… it comes from all the club members.”

I always invite Shijou-san and the other girls to the after-party at the end of the party, but they always leave with an incredibly sad look on their faces, saying. ‘Sawashiro-kun said we should go home, so I’m just going to go home’. The other members all feel frustrated too, but the vice president orders them to go home, so they just follow your orders!”

I didn’t know that the club members hated me that much. I was shocked and couldn’t move for a while, but if everyone really hated me that much….

While suppressing my sadness, I told Kusumi and Narumi that I was quitting the club.

When Kusumi and Narumi heard what I said, they immediately smiled broadly and said to me.

So today I’m quitting this club that I’ve been a part of since my first year of college.
