Chapter 19 Queen Mina Dreams of Isaac (4)

Queen Mina Dreams of Isaac (4)

“Mina. Hey, Mina.”

Mina hears a voice in her sleep.

She feels someone’s warmth against her cheek.

Has Isaac returned?

Between dream and reality, Mina tries to bask in this faint hope.

But Isaac never touches her.

The cold reality immediately pulls Mina out of her comfortable slumber.

When she opens her eyes, there is Lovecraft’s stunned face.

“You worked in a place like this? You’re going to catch a cold.”

Lovecraft has mistaken the papers strewn about the room for Mina’s work. Mina gently removes Lovecraft’s hand.

“Sorry. How’s it going over there?”

Lovecraft sits down across from Mina with a thud and breathes heavily.

“I sent everyone home except the aides. I think I can handle the All Souls Festival using the temples from previous years.”

The All Souls Festival is held during the last week of October and attracts the largest number of people each year.

Originally, it was a solemn celebration of the return of ancestral spirits and a bountiful harvest, but recently it has become a custom in which the town is filled with costumed people all night long.

And since a🬀cohol is involved, there’s constant trouble, and the workload of Mina and her friends who manage them naturally increases.

“Also, Isaac has been found.”

“!”

When Mina heard that, she suddenly changed her mood and stood up, and Lovecraft clasped his hands in front of her face and said,

“Calm down. I’ve already called the police. It’s only a matter of time before he’s caught in the net.”

“I’m the one who should go.”

Mina tries to run out.

But Lovecraft grabs her hand and says in a low, heavy voice.

“We should kill Isaac.”

Mina looks back into Lovecraft’s yellow, clouded eyes without saying a word.

Then Lovecraft grips Mina’s hand more tightly and continues.

“This land will change. We will change it. To do so, we must kill Isaac, the last of the royal family.”

What makes Lovecraft equate ideals with murder is self-preservation and lust for power.

Lovecraft is afraid of being blamed by Isaac.

He is afraid of being defeated by Isaac.

Mina knows that Lovecraft is an ordinary man, greedy and petty.

“It would be better to keep Isaac alive and use him.”

“I don’t think the mere decoration is worth using.”

“If we try to change everything at once, we will surely fail. But if we keep that decoration, the conservatives and the supporters of the king will be quiet. Meanwhile, we can change the country little by little.”

Lovecraft is not stupid. He knows that Mina is right.

But when he saw the ring shining softly on Mina’s left hand, Lovecraft shook his head violently.

“No. I’ll kill him. We must kill him.”

With that, Lovecraft pushed Mina onto the couch. Lovecraft’s animal lust was ignited.

“Do you still love him?”

“I love him.”

But Mina looked away.

Just being pushed down by Lovecraft, revealing his animal desires, made her body hot.

Trying to escape, Mina spun around.

Her black skirt lifted to reveal smooth, white legs wrapped in stockings.

Lovecraft watched in silence as Mina’s resistance made the beast within him grow more ferocious.

As Mina’s torso tried to escape, Lovecraft tied Mina’s hands to the armrest with a necktie.

“What….”

Mina stares at Lovecraft. But her eyes are clearly filled with anticipation and desire.

Lovecraft smiles with satisfaction, then sits down, brushes off the papers on the table, and takes a closer look at Mina’s bound form.

Mina’s gently curving chest rises and falls in the knit.

White legs wriggle like carnivorous flowers beneath her black skirt.

Lovecraft pulls off Mina’s pumps and gently strokes the back of her legs.

That alone causes Mina to let out a hot breath.

As Lovecraft’s fingers slowly circle her ankles, stroking the backs of her knees so gently that it is almost a touch, Mina’s breath becomes hot, and her face flushes and rises.

Why did just a stroke of his fingers make her so hot?

Why was it so easy to melt away her desire not to betray Isaac? Mina cursed her own weakness.

But Mina’s eyes grew moist as if inviting Lovecraft.
