Chapter 17 I'm Not Her Boyfriend; I'm Her Father!

I’m Not Her Boyfriend; I’m Her Father!

My daughter was being picked up by three men.

She was looking at them with a very angry look on her face, so I rushed over.

“Hey guys, what are you doing?”

When I called out to them, the three men looked at me with obvious anger.

“Hey? What are you doing here, old man?”

“Are you trying to be a righteous man and save the girl?

“Cutie? Do you know this old man?”

I’ve heard a lot of things said about me, so I don’t really care.

Apparently, I have a face made to be made fun of.

I don’t think anything of it, especially since young boys used to make fun of me.

But there was no way that Satsuki, who loves me, would think anything of it.

“Ugh!”

Satsuki was angry about the men’s comments.

Her cheeks were puffed out, and her lips were puckered in a sulky way.

I guess she was not amused just to be quiet.

Satsuki said something like this:

“Of course, I know him; that guy is my ’boyfriend’.”

“““““Eh!?””””

I was surprised. Of course, the men too.

No, not a boyfriend! It’s your father!

“You’re joking; that can’t be true!”

“How old is he? He must be at least 20 years older than me.”

“I can’t believe a fat old man like him is going out with a beautiful girl.”

They stared at me as if I were the enemy.

Of course, I denied it.

“No! I’m not her boyfriend!”

“What? Dad, you’re not my boyfriend?”

“““Dad!?”””

Again, the three are surprised.

Satsuki calls her boyfriend “Dad”. No wonder they are surprised.

“Hey, old man? Isn’t this a bad relationship?”

“Oh, I know what it is. Isn’t this kind of relationship called ‘compensated dating’?”

“I see. He’s a s🬀gar d🬀🬀dy who buys the girls with money… Hey, honey, that’s not good, you know?”

And they misunderstood in the wrong direction.

Compensate dating? No, no, we are just a normal father and daughter!

“Good luck, Dad.”

Satsuki cheers from behind the men.

It’s your fault that this situation has become complicated, but you’re too carefree.

“Well, let’s do this. The old man pays, and we get to play with the girl; it’s a win-win, right?”

“Yeah, we’re younger and cooler than him, so it’s definitely a win-win, right?”

“So, old man, why don’t you just pay the money and go home? Oh, I’ve boxed before…want to try?”

Shush-shush. I shook my head at the shadowboxer.

“Violence is not good. Besides, I’m not a s🬀gar d🬀🬀dy… I’m just a plain old man. Now I have to lecture that little devil who is enjoying this situation, so please leave.”

“Shut up, just do as I say, Orah!”

GASP! He grabbed me by the chest.

He raises his voice as if to intimidate me, but he is like a puppy.

The more little and stupid a dog is, the more it barks.

It’s the same with people.

“… Huh? This old man doesn’t even flinch!”

He holds me by the chest, but that’s all.

I didn’t move a single step. There was no way I could fall.

When you weigh as much as I do and have a strong torso, you can never be knocked down by an ordinary person.

“I’m just an old man, but I’d like to warn you that it’s best not to upset people like this.”

“Shut up!!!!”

He raised both hands. The man probably thought I would fight back, so he tried to hit me.

I dodged his hand, grabbed him, and swept his leg, knocking him to the ground.

“Arghh!!!!”

Of course, I have to be careful not to hit him in the back of the head. As an amateur, he does not even have a good passive defense. His body was a little too weak to call himself a boxer.

“It’s not my hobby to brag about my title….”

I’ll say it clearly so that the other two can hear me.

“I’ve been doing judo since I was young. I’m a fifth-degree black belt. If you want to fight with me, you’d better put on some weight. If you stay as skinny as you are now, there’s no point.”

I’m not athletic. Not much of a fighter either. But I was born fat.

Not fat yesterday or today. I was born fat, so I know how to move my body. And that is a weapon in martial arts. Judo was especially good for me because I didn’t have to hit people.

I started in junior high school. Now I only go to the dojo once a week to say hello to people I know, but the skills are still ingrained in my body.

I was looking for an easy-to-understand power to protect my first love.

I think my body has become more reliable than that of normal people.

“Or do you still want to try? I’d better not go any further. I’ll call the police after I subdue you all.”

I’m a security guard. I’m used to working with the police.

I don’t think these kids understand, but it’s a crime of assault to hit someone you’ve never met before. It’s not a big deal because I’m the one they’re up against, but if it escalates any further, I won’t tolerate it.

“Tch, hey, let’s go!”

They probably thought they were in a bad position. The two energetic guys left, carrying one who was in agony from a blow to the back.

That was the end of it.

Well….

“Hey. Don’t say provocative things like that. Think about your actions.”

I pinched my daughter’s cheek as she sat on the bench, smiling.

She was so excited.

“Dad, that’s amazing! That man flew away with a whimper! Daddy is really strong!”

“But I don’t really want to do that, so you have to behave from now on, okay?”

There is a possibility that Satsuki might get involved as well.

No matter how much she trusts me to protect her, it’s still not good to stir things up like this.

She must’ve sensed that I was really angry this time.

Satsuki immediately lowered her head.

“Ugh… sorry. I couldn’t forgive them for making fun of my dad….”

… Well, of course.

There’s no way this girl wouldn’t be mad at them for making fun of me.

If someone makes fun of Satsuki, I might do something even worse than her.

I feel sorry for Satsuki if I keep getting mad at her.

“If you’re sorry, that’s fine. Then let’s go home and make some curry. I have the ingredients at home, so I’ll make it right away.”

I held out my hand to receive the package from her.

But what I got was Satsuki’s little hand.

“Yes. I get it!”

Satsuki smiled innocently and walked away, humming a happy tune.

She didn’t let me carry the luggage.

It was as if she wanted me to hold Satsuki’s hand, not her luggage.

“…Really.”

I laughed but walked as Satsuki pulled me along.

I’ll take the feelings. If she looks tired, I’ll just take her luggage.

Really… My daughter is so cute——
