Chapter 14 Ex-Knight Commander Dumped by His Wife (7)

Ex-Knight Commander Dumped by His Wife (7)

“Do you even know what this means?!”

Desnos turns green and doubts Isaac’s sanity, but Isaac doesn’t change his expression.

“Of course. I’m going to divorce her.”

“Di, di, di!”

Desnos was speechless—not even a word.

The hostess also asked in surprise.

“Isaac, are you really getting a divorce?”

“Yes. I’ve made a lot of preparations. If only everything had gone smoothly, the official divorce would’ve been finalized by now, and she would’ve been able to marry Lovecraft in time. Thanks to those two, it’s all ruined.”

“An official divorce?”

Isaac raised his left hand to his face and pointed to the base of his ring finger. There was a scar there as if a red tattoo had been torn from his skin.

“I have to cut the red string of magic tied at the wedding ceremony. It’s a curse that only gives you a bad feeling, but I have to meet in person to break it, so it’s really annoying.”

Then Isaac stood up and picked up his phone and his old sword.

“Let’s go then, Desnos.”

“Wait! I can’t accept this….”

Desnos runs around confused, while the ring is still in hand.

Isaac put his fist into Desnos’s thick chest.

“You want Hisui back, right? Then you need money. Pay your debt, kneel before Hisui, and beg.”

Isaac said as if commanding.

The heat of Isaac’s fist was felt in Desnos’s chest.

Desnos regained his composure.

Then he clenched the ring and put his fist on Isaac’s chest.

“Okay. I’ll be your dog.”

Isaac and Desnos put their fists together and grinned.

“Well, let’s start with….”

Isaac poked his head out of the door.

There were five uniformed police officers outside, surrounding them. Isaac and Desnos couldn’t get out unless they broke through them.

“That. That’s your first job. Do something about these guys.”

Desnos nods and closes the distance with the officers, pounding his fists.

The officers all pointed their guns at him at once, but without flinching, Desnos walked over to the young officer who had accompanied him at the beginning and said,

“Sorry, Leader, but I’m going it alone from here. Give my regards to the chief.”

Desnos places a crumpled wad of bills in the young officer’s hand. The young officer’s mouth falls open when he sees Desnos’ face and the wad of money.

Desnos leans forward and continues to look into the young officer’s eyes without saying a word.

Then he puts his big, bear-like hands around the officer’s shoulders.

The young officer, flushed like a new recruit, looked straight at Desnos and saluted, “Okay”. Then he slipped the wad of money into his inner jacket pocket, gathered up the other officers, and retreated quickly.

Isaac, watching from behind, blurted out in a bored tone.

“Bribing a cop, huh?”

“It’s a parting gift to a colleague who took care of me. Are you unhappy?”

“No. Great job.”

Isaac patted Desnos on the shoulder and looked back at the hostess.

“Well, let’s go then.”

Then the hostess held out her hand to Isaac.

“What?”

“80 million.”

“You sold me; you’re already out of luck! Get a bounty from Lovecraft.”

“Of course, I’ll take that.”

“Eh, how greedy….”

“Sigh… It can’t be helped. I’ll add it to your debt, so leave your phone instead.”

“What? No way.”

“Hey, if you keep doing that, you’ll really become a wreck. Give it to me.”

“Don’t worry, I can control myself.”

“I’ll make the bill ten times bigger.”

“Hey, wait a minute!”

The hostess still had her eyebrows raised as she looked down at Isaac.

For some reason, Isaac can’t resist the hostess. Like a child who has been told to stop playing games, “stop playing or you won’t get any food,"  he loses the will to resist.

But if he gives up, he should end his gacha game.

He really wants a GG Rare.

Isaac tries to regain his courage.

But before he can, the hostess tells him.

“You should stop before it’s too late. You’ve already gone quite far.”

Isaac’s eyes widen, and he stares at the hostess's face.

The hostess says, “It has poisoned you.”

She keeps repeating that he will be a wreck if he goes on like this.

(Does she really know about this gacha game?)

Startled, Isaac looked in horror at the hostess’s beautiful, ageless face.

Isaac gave up.

He had completely lost the will to resist.

He still didn’t have a GG Rare.

He really wanted to, but it was unavoidable.

Reluctantly, he offered his phone to the hostess.

And reluctantly, Isaac looked at the gacha game screen.

Then a red circle appeared in the corner of the screen, notifying him of a message from the game.
