“Ah, Madam, I will take care of this; please rest. No, I’m truly sorry for the trouble I caused you….”
After regaining his composure, Desnos bowed deeply to the hostess as he hammered a nail into the broken table.
Isaac hit Desnos over the head with a broom.
“If you’re going to cry that much, don’t go into debt to give money to other women.”
“Umm, that’s, but….”
Desnos shrugged off his huge frame and nodded.
The young policeman who came with him must’ve run away; he is nowhere to be seen.
“Did he really steal your wife?”
When the hostess crosses her legs in front of Desnos, Desnos stops hammering nails and squeezes out his voice.
“No, it’s not final yet; she might not be able to come home because she has to support the election….”
Then Isaac interrupted from the side.
“It’s not that she was stolen; it’s more like she ran away.”
“You know?”
Isaac hits Desnos in the head as he speaks.
“This guy’s wife; her name is Hisui; she’s a really nice person. His family was on the verge of collapse due to debt, but she somehow managed to keep up with all the clothes and cosmetics she wore. It was only with Hisui’s support that he was able to maintain his aristocratic status. And yet, he uses the money Hisui earned to give to another woman.”
“What a sc🬀🬀🬀ag.”
The hostess looks at Desnos with disdain.
“I have no idea why such a good person would do so much for this guy.”
Desnos defends himself as he is cornered.
“But that doesn’t mean I can forgive what Lovecraft did….”
“You idiot. It is unreasonable to blame Lovecraft for this.”
Issak approaches Desnos, who looks unconvinced.
“I saw Hisui on TV earlier, but I didn’t notice it right away. Why do you think so? Because she was so beautiful that I couldn’t compare her to before. Her hair and skin were shiny, and her makeup was perfect. Most importantly, she smiled. I haven’t seen Hisui smile like that since her wedding. I’ll be honest with you. I attended your wedding as the king, but you, Desnos, have no right to call yourself Hisui’s husband.”
The merciless rebuke made Desnos groan and fall down, so dejected that he almost left a stain on the floor.
Perhaps feeling sorry for him, the hostess gently approached Desnos.
“If your wife has done so much for you, perhaps she will forgive you if you apologize properly.”
Desnos looked up as if he had met a goddess in hell, but Isaac knocked Desnos back down to hell.
“When did Hisui leave?”
“It was the last Tuesday in August; I’ll never forget it. I remember it well because it was the day after I bought a new bag from a woman at a familiar store on my way to the bank with the money Hisui had prepared for me.”
“You really are the worst… Well, let’s see, Hisui would’ve consulted Mina first. Then, while she was taking refuge at Mina’s place, she started helping Lovecraft and became a core member of the party because of her accounting skills. So she’s been in a ‘relationship’ with Lovecraft for about a month now. Yeah, it’s too late. Give it up.”
Isaac put his hand on Desnos’ shoulder as if to offer his condolences.
“What do you mean, it’s too late?”
“Hisui has already fallen into Lovecraft’s hands. I’m pretty sure her body has as well.”
Desno’s expression suddenly turned green, and he glared at Isaac angrily, as if Isaac had defiled Hisui.
“Are you insulting Hisui?!”
“You’re the one I want to insult! I’m not saying that Hisui is a s🬀🬀t. It’s just that Lovecraft’s s🬀x skills are abnormal. He is really a cheater. There is no greater happiness for a woman than to be held by him.”
Isaac’s excessive praise of Lovecraft made Desnos angry, but before he could react, the hostess expressed her surprise.
“Is he really that great?”
Isaac nodded broadly.
“Once you let him hold you, you’ll feel like you’re in a dream. A second time, your mind will be confused. If he holds you three times, you won’t want him to go, and you’ll do whatever it takes to be held four times. That’s what s🬀x with him is like.”
“He is like a dangerous drug.”
“I only know one woman who didn’t fall into his hands.”
“There was one.”
“That’s because he’s a very strange woman.”
“Hmm. Then, Hisui-san….”
The hostess and Isaac counted the nights that Hisui and Lovecraft had been skin to skin, and then they clasped their hands in prayer to Desnos.
“What the hell do you know?!”
Desnos shook off their hands and roared, but Isaac raised his voice, not to be outdone.
“I know! It’s not like you don’t know what happened to me that night three months ago, is it?”
Desnos was at a loss for words. Isaac continues.
“Even Mina, a representative of the Goddess, pathetically and lustfully shook her hips in hopes of Lovecraft’s embrace; she stabbed me repeatedly, as she was told. I assure you, no one in the world knows the horror of Lovecraft better than I.”
When Isaac looked at Desnos triumphantly, Desnos made a small apology.
“I’m sorry.”
