“Thanks, Kuroi. You’re great.”

Kuroi contacted me immediately. It was a report that the attack by the remnants of the soccer team that had ambushed Ikenobu Eri had been successfully put down. No matter how athletic they were, there was no way they could defeat Kuroi and the specially trained police elite.

I hung up the phone.

Then I went to the place I had promised.

An empty classroom. The man who had cooperated with me was waiting.

“Thank you for waiting. I am Kuroi’s master. Nice to meet you; I’m Ichijo Ai.”
