Chapter 184 The Collapse of the Story

The Collapse of the Story

Manager Tachibana’s PoV

Lunch break. Ikenobu Eri was absent from school.

This is convenient. I already sent instructions to Mitsuda-kun through Matsuda-san.

By now, volunteers from the soccer club would be on their way to meet her.

And now I’m meeting Matsuda-san in the club room.

“Manager!!!”

She clings to me, her pale face colored with anxiety.

“How’s it going? Have you heard from Mitsuda-kun?”

I dare not use my phone. So as not to leave a trace.

“Yes, he just contacted me and said everything went well. What should we do?”

I see, she is wracked with guilt. How convenient. That should make it easier for me to make a move.

“Did he send you any pictures or anything? Did you check it out properly?”

“Not yet. I’m supposed to get them now. But…”

Once I get them, I’ll have to move quickly to cut these two off. Before Ikenobu Eri’s problem came to light…

But there was no news from him. What does this mean? Could they be in trouble?

For example, if someone saw them and the police caught them.

What should I do? Cut them off here? That would be safer, but if Mitsuda-kun and the others were caught by the police, they might become suspicious.

I can’t make a move. What should I do?

While I was standing here, unable to come to a conclusion, I heard someone knocking on the door of the club room…

Eiji’s PoV

I met Ichijo-san, Hayashi-san, Satoshi, and Endo in the cafeteria.

It seems that Ichijo-san had secured our seats in advance.

“Well, let’s introduce ourselves. I’ve already given them a brief explanation. Satoshi and Endo said they would help us.”

“I’m Imai Satoshi. You can count on me if you need anything. Also, let’s exchange contact information.”

“I’m Endo Kazuki. I know you’re worried, but don’t be. If there are enemies around you, there must be allies as well.”

We exchanged contact information and made a group. If anything happens, we will post a message there so that someone who notices will rush to the scene. Also, for now, I’ve adjusted everyone’s schedule so that she won’t be alone going to and from school for the next two weeks.

“Thank you for doing all this for me.”

Hayashi-san bows her head in a truly apologetic manner.

Both Ichijo-san and I denied it at the same time, and Satoshi followed suit.

“Hayashi-san, you should rely on someone when you are in a difficult situation. If you don’t, you’ll break the circle.”

Hayashi-san looks a little happy and says,

“Circle?”

“Yes, a circle. Probably every member here has been saved by Eiji at some point. I also owe him from elementary school. That’s why I was happy that Eiji relied on me in this case. I think that a series of helping and being helped leads to a greater relationship of trust. So if we ever have any problems in the future, you can help us, Hayashi-san.”

When everyone nodded in agreement, she looked down happily, shook her head, and repeated “thank you very much” over and over again.
