Shinomiya Saya’s PoV
“Good morning, Shinomiya-san.”
“…Good morning, Hiiragi-san.”
I can see that several students around me are turning their heads in my direction and listening to me while pretending not to pay attention. This is especially noticeable among the boys.
I guess it’s inevitable since there are almost no strangers coming to this class.
The one who seems unconcerned about such things and smiles and looks at me is Hiiragi Yoka-san, the younger sister of Hiiragi Shuu-senpai, who smiles and looks at me.
Her smile looks like she’s smiling softly from all angles, but that’s why I had an unnatural or rather eerie impression when I looked at her.
My sad past warns me that this woman is not good.
Aoi-senpai told me that I should be a little wary of her, but my body recognized her as an enemy on its own.
If I trust this woman easily, she will devour me.
Hiiragi Yoka.
She is not very tall but has silky black hair that reaches to her waist. Her face is well-developed, and she is extremely pretty with dull eyes, moist lips, and porcelain skin.
She has excellent grades, and when the rankings for regular tests are posted, her name is always at the top of the list. I have heard rumors that she has won prizes in piano competitions, and her paintings have won prizes in prefectural and public exhibitions.
In addition, she is sociable, kind, and decent without being sarcastic, and she seems to be well-liked by everyone and has many friends.
She is also athletic, and I think many students would name her if asked to name a person in their class who has impeccable physical skills.
In fact, when I look at her, she seems harmless at first glance, like a cute little harmless lamb with no fangs hidden anywhere.
But then I remember that one incident.
(Please don’t get too close to my brother. I don’t want him to get hurt anymore.)
That innocent and cute little girl let out a smile and whispered to me like that, but,
(It’s okay. You and I are different.)
The look on her face when I answered.
A scary straight face.
The beautiful and perfect smile that had always been on her face disappeared in an instant and was replaced by a face like a Noh mask.
But in an instant it was back to her original smile and she acted as if nothing had happened.
I still remember it…
“Why are you here, Hiiragi-san? Do you have something to do with this class?”
“There is no particular reason. If I had to say it, I’ve been thinking that I want to get along with Shinomiya-san. I want to be friends with Shinomiya-san.”
I can no longer hear the noise of the class that is always full of buzz.
Talking to this woman reminds me of Amane Kazusa. No, it might be more than her.
“I see. But I think you should go back to your class because a short homeroom will start in a few minutes.”
“Right. See you then.”
After saying that, I watched her leave the classroom with a smile on her face, and then I let go of my nervousness.
I wondered if I was scared, nervous, or relieved.
I felt like a lot of things were falling off my body…
