School Holiday

Looking up at the sky, the weather was slightly cloudy but generally clear.

Today was a school holiday.

I was invited by Shinomiya-san and Aoi-senpai to the station near the shopping mall. Even before the incident, there had been talk of the three of us going out after the exam, so that must’ve happened today.

The incident had made the day much later than planned.

When I arrived at the meeting place about 30 minutes before the meeting time, Aoi-senpai was waiting there.

Since she had invited me to the meeting, I felt bad if I made her and Shinomiya-san wait, so I decided to arrive at the meeting place first, but she arrived before me.

“Good morning, Aoi-senpai.”

“Oh, good morning, Hiiragi-kun. It’s a beautiful day, isn’t it?”

“Yes, it is. And I’m sorry to keep you waiting.”

“No, it’s okay. I just couldn’t wait and came early, so there’s no need for Hiiragi-kun to apologize.”

Saying that Aoi-senpai laughed.

“Besides, I was always the last one to leave the classroom when we came home from school together… I thought I’d beat Hiiragi-kun and Saya today. So you really don’t have to worry about it, and I was happy to be the first one here.”

“I see.”

When we talked like this,

“Good morning, Aoi-senpai. Shuu-senpai. Moo, you two are too early~”

“Good morning, Saya.”

“Good morning, Shinomiya-san.”

Shinomiya-san joined us just then, and the three of us were together, so we started walking.

“I’m looking forward to today’s movie. It’s supposed to be very touching.”

“Yes, I have to be careful not to cry during the screening. I’m sorry if I make too much noise when I cry.”

“I’m sure I’m the one who cries the most out of the three of us, so if anyone’s going to be loud, it’s going to be me.”

The plan for today is to see the movie, have lunch, and then walk around the mall.

As far as I’m concerned, I have no complaints if that’s what they want to do, and I honestly don’t know what to do, so I’ll just follow them.

“You want some popcorn or something?”

“I don’t want any; I want to concentrate on the movie.”

“What about you, Hiiragi-kun?”

“I don’t want any either.”

“I’m also a person who doesn’t eat much, so that’s good. Let’s go.”

We arrived at the mall within a few minutes’ walk and went straight to the movie theater.

Since we had reserved our seats in advance, we were able to enter the theater easily, so we went straight to our seats.

From left to right, the order was Shinomiya-san, me, and Aoi-senpai. I felt a little sorry that I was in the middle, but since the two of them said that this seating order was good for us, we had no choice.

After a few trailers and warnings, the movie started…
