Chapter 169 Eiji and Matsuda Mizuki

Eiji and Matsuda Mizuki

I immediately contacted Satoshi and Endo and asked for their cooperation.

(Those two will definitely help us. They’re the most trustworthy friends in this school.)

I said this to myself and sent a message to Hayashi-san as well.

I realized later that she was the only one who didn’t block me.

And she didn’t try to participate in my bullying.

As someone who has been bullied, I know how great that was.

I also know how hard it is to make the choice not to be a bully. How much of a risk it would be to her future in school.

I also know how much she suffered, even though she showed me her sincerity. I cannot allow Hayashi-san, who is so honest and sincere, to suffer so much. …

Class time ends.

I immediately went to the place where I was supposed to meet Ichijo-san and Hayashi-san.

On the way, I bumped into a female student.

She was the first to notice me.

“Aono Eiji…”

Matsuda Mizuki. She is a classmate of mine in the Literature Club and a student who is particularly close to Manager Tachibana.

And the person who insulted me right in front of the infirmary with the manager back then.

“Matsuda-san…”

I’m sure we didn’t want to see each other, but I’m glad I met her here.

“What? You have something to say.”

She is very cautious. It’s like she’s afraid I’ll take revenge on her.

“Yes, I have a lot. First …”

I replied in a slightly angry tone. When I was in the club, I thought I was relatively close to her. We talked a lot about our favorite authors, and she gave me book recommendations. I thought we were friends.

But she got caught up in the atmosphere and bullied me. Maybe it was also some kind of order from the manager, whom she respected.

And if she tried to hurt and bully Hayashi-san to save her own skin, as she did this time, that’s a different story. There is no room for pity. So I made it clear to her. I think this is the sincerity of a former friend.

“I’m grateful for what you did for me when I was in the Literature Club. But don’t enter our territory again. If you try to harm my loved ones and friends, I will never forgive you. Tell that to the manager, too.”

I thought to myself that I had never vented so much anger at another person.

When I was the victim, all I felt was despair.

“Are you talking about Hayashi-san?”

Maybe Matsuda-san got caught up in my spirit and completely lost her temper; she made a big mistake.

“Hayashi-san? What’s wrong with Hayashi-san?”

When I ask her coldly, her pupils dilate, and she seems to realize her mistake.

I never said anything about Hayashi-san.

Those words warned her not to hurt my friends and family, but instead, Hayashi-san’s name was mentioned.

Normally, she would’ve mentioned the names of Ichijo-san and my best friends Satoshi and Endo, who were rumored to be involved.

Why did Hayashi-san’s name come up so quickly?

That means she is most likely the sender or collaborator of the anonymous threatening messages.

“I don’t know. I don’t know anything.”

With that, she fled.

“Hey, don’t run away!”

All the while, I sighed as I faced the true nature of the people I thought were my friends and thought about what would happen to them.

I immediately called Takayanagi-sensei to share the information.

  1. Say what you will, but when it’s time to rise up, Eiji does. Meekly and politely dressing down those in the wrong.

  2. If you think about it Eiji is strong-willed he just never got a chance to show it, with the exception of the opening scene he never really showed any weakness, his confrontation with Miyuki while she is in a bad position he really didn't falter in that one and even stoping Ai from jumping he handled it really well, not to mention the situation with the Grandpa, reaffirming the former Mayor, knowing perfectly well how to handle Hayashi when she apologize and him befriending Endo when he knows he's doing the right thing he never falters. It's to the point that the opening scene looks kinda out of place for his character but the problem is we don't really see it, most of his screen time is fluff moments with Ai that we really don't get an in-depth look at his character but from what he shown thus far he's a strong-willed character who never falters when doing the right thing and loves to help others

    1. he is strong but also sometimes too good for his own good. it seems he finally realized that not everything can be solved with kindness and sometimes you have to be harsh

    2. The thing with this whole story is that is the fast food of stories. The characters are all INCREDIBLE 2D. The protagonist is just the perfect and purest person and the cutest and most beautiful girl is completeally obsses with him. AI is just beautifull and in love with him and everytime he appears she cannot stop monologuing about how perfect he is an how much her life has improve. The childhood friend is pathetic from start to finish and every chapter she is just misserable. The bad guys are just bond villains IM perfect and bad. This story is just writte by someone who does not know how to writte interesting characters. He is focus on the situation of bad guy gets betrayed and then karma appears and the childhood friend and the bad guy are misserable now. Is satisfactory obviously and that is why I started reading but at the long run its just boring. In fact the only good part about this is the premise thats why every character is more boring than the previous one. You cannot build a story with just a premise you need also interesting characters.
