After class, I idly opened an Internet news site on my phone and found that Aida’s mother, one of the bullies, had threatened the school and then posted the audio recording on an SNS, asking the public to take her son’s side…
The post went viral and she hastily deleted it, but it was too late. She had only added fuel to the fire.
With her real name on the account, she has already been exposed, and it’ll only get worse.
What is she really doing?
Even though we are enemies, I feel a little sorry for her.
Public opinion, which was already very sympathetic to Aono-kun because of Kondo’s recent father-son case, seems to have become even stronger because of this case. And I’m grateful for that.
I feel that the time for Aono-kun to regain his honor is near.
Well, no matter. The rest will take care of itself.
I just have to concentrate on preparing for today’s experiment…
After consulting with Sensei, we’re supposed to do an iodine sublimation experiment. The experiment was quite nice and interesting.
Just in case, I watched it on a video site yesterday, and Sensei will join us as well. The members of the club aren’t prejudiced against Aono-kun either, and when I told them the facts, they were happy to take the time to offer help.
And I heard that Ichijo-san would be joining us as well. This made our all-male science club very excited. However, I already knew that Aono-kun and Ichijo-san were in love, so I didn’t have any strange prejudices about what the club members would do. Anyway, they were excited to have the chance to experiment with the prettiest girl in school.
I’m happy to be able to help him in this way too…
Come to think of it, it was Aono-kun and Imai-kun who pushed me to join the club when I was afraid to do so because of my mistrust of people.
Because the Science Club is a small elite group and a cozy place, I’m now able to spend irreplaceable time together. Sensei is also very kind and warm, unfortunately, he’ll be retiring soon…
“Excuse me, Sensei, I came to help with the preparations…”
In the laboratory preparation room, Sensei is watching the news on the small TV.
“Oh, thank you. Aono-kun and the others will be here soon, so let’s finish the preparations.”
But Sensei seems to be absorbed in the news on TV. Sensei doesn’t seem to want to turn it off.

Old Sensei turned off the TV and said this quietly without turning his head to us.

The warm words almost made me cry, and when I answered “yes” with a trembling voice, Sensei turned around and laughed softly.
