Kudo looked lovingly at Hiiragi and then said, “I’ll take care of it, I’ll show you. Don’t worry.” and then turned her gaze to Shiramine.
Shiramine stared at Hiiragi and shot hateful eyes at Kudo.
“Why did you come here? Student Council President?!”
“Somehow, I saw people on the rooftop that is closed to students. I just wanted to check it out. Besides, I heard from Hiiragi-kun during the lunch break that he had something to do on the rooftop after school.”
Shiramine, further annoyed by Kudo’s attitude, took a step towards her.
“I was in the middle of an important discussion between me and Shuu-kun!! It’s annoying when others come in!!! Can’t you just go away? Besides, you’re trying to trick Shuu-kun, aren’t you?”
“No. I’m not crazy enough to leave him alone in this state, and while you were talking, you didn’t pay any attention to Hiiragi-kun’s condition at all. In fact, you’re the one who brought Hiiragi-kun down. It’s crazy that you think I’m the same as you?!”
Shiramine’s boiling point was about to reach its peak when Kudo said that with dignity.
“You’re selfish. You don’t even think about Hiiragi-kun.”
“What! What are you saying? I’ve been thinking about Shuu-kun for a long time. I love him. I love Shuu-kun.”
Shiramine was so angry that she tried to grab Kudo’s chest, but Kudo, who had learned basic self-defense, was unaffected and easily dodged her.
Kudo stood in front of Shiramine as if to protect Hiiragi and said,
“Shiramine-san. Take a good look at yourself! I can tell you that you are only looking at yourself. You are doing this out of your own selfishness.”
“That’s not true! I’m sure Shuu-kun will understand.”
“If you think like that, you’re being selfish. If your ‘Hiiragi’ was someone who could understand you for who you are, he wouldn’t collapse because of you like this.”
“…ah, shut up!!!”
Perhaps unable to respond to Kudo’s words, Shiramine tried to resist her words with a weak punch, but she was easily stopped, her face contorted in frustration. And then Kudo shifted her gaze to Hiiragi.
“Me too. I love him, I love Hiiragi-kun, and even though this feeling is still developing, I really love him. It’s the first time I’ve ever felt this…”
“…”
“But you know, I can be sure that I will never be like you.”
Saying this, Kudo left the place holding the slender body of Hiiragi who had collapsed.
Shiramine, who was left behind, just stared at the door through which Kudo and Hiiragi had left.
