Chapter 122 Endo and Yumi's Way Home

Endo and Yumi’s Way Home

Endo’s PoV

After saying goodbye to Ichijo-san, we walked around in front of the station. It’s a rather relaxing time. Maybe it’s because I’ve been so tense lately because of the problems with the soccer team, but it’s a good way to relax.

“Aono-san and Ichijo-san, they were good people. I’d like to hang out with them again. I can’t believe those two aren’t dating, even though they’re so close.”

Yumi said and then giggled.

I was deeply moved to see Aono-kun smiling so happily. …

“What? You look like a craftsman who just finished a job. What are you happy about?”

“No, it’s nothing. By the way, shouldn’t you go to cram school right now?”

“Hmm, I should go, but I don’t mind skipping it.”

It’s rare that the serious Yumi says something like that. No, I haven’t seen her for so long, so it’s probably natural that she’s changed.

“Don’t make that face. I’m just kidding. I’ve never missed school except when I was sick. But you know, Kazuki. There’s also me who thinks it’s okay to be a ronin. Because then we can go to the same college and spend the same time together again.”

She says it jokingly, but I know she means it because we’ve known each other since childhood.

In the end, I can clearly see that the incident with Eri and Kondo made even Yumi suffer. I wish I could tell this to the “hikikomori me” at that time,

You are not the only victim. …

“Thank you.”

“What’s so sudden? If you thank me, I should say something too. Thank you for today. It was really fun, just like the old days. If it’s okay with you, Aono-san, and Ichijo-san, I’d like to play together again. Tell them I said hi!”

“Of course.”

I smiled back, celebrating in my heart that my relationship with Yumi had been restored.

“Okay, I’ll study hard for the exams. I’ll call you at night. Let’s date again.”

We laughed and parted. Yumi was in a good mood and went to cram school.

Yumi’s PoV

After saying goodbye to Kazuki, I went to the convenience store to buy some snacks for cram school.

If this incident had never happened, the three of us would have played together. When I think about it, I feel helplessly lonely.

“Eri. You make Kazuki suffer. How can you be so cruel!”

“…”

“Why, why. You knew how I felt. Because you’re Eri, I even gave up on Kazuki’s love.”

“… sorry.”

“The Eri I know is gone! I don’t think we should see each other anymore. Don’t talk to me at school either.”

I still remember the last conversation I had with Eri when we were in middle school.

I miss the time when the three of us were together, but I don’t regret the decision I made that day.

“Hey, Kazuki. I’m still waiting for your answer to that time, okay? You don’t have to hold back anymore, right?”

After I made my decision, I bought some chocolate and went out. But,

“I’m telling you, this is not the time for that!”

I hear a woman shouting from the direction of the station. Everyone turns around.

And I was surprised. Because the owner of the voice was someone I knew.

We hadn’t talked much, but she was a girl I went to junior high school with.

“Tachibana-san?”

When I tried to get a good look at her face, she walked away as if to run away.

Come to think of it, she went to Kazuki’s school, right?

Did something happen to her? Maybe I should ask him tonight.
