The Kidnapper Panda

I followed Yoka and we parted ways at school on the way to my class. For some reason, I noticed that the people around me were looking at me. If anything, I felt they were looking at me with disdain or contempt.

Unless I’m too self-conscious.

When I walked into my class, their glances became more intense and I was convinced they were looking at me. I wondered why, but I couldn’t think of anything. It was because I was almost like air all the time. But now I felt like a panda being watched by people in a zoo.

While I was thinking about it, someone spoke to me.

“H-Hiiragi-kun. That’s… good morning?”

“Good morning, Shiramine-san.”

The person who spoke to me was Shiramine Kyoka, who is popular in my class and grade.

She and I were good friends in elementary school, but we drifted apart after I was falsely accused.

A childhood friend? I guess you could say we were childhood friends, but that’s a bit of a stretch.

We happened to go to the same junior high and high school, but we hardly ever talked. Lately, I don’t know why, but she has come up to me a few times. But, I tried to end the conversation as soon as possible because she was a popular person and it would be better not to get involved with someone like me.

“Hiiragi-kun, you know…”

“Yes?”

Saying that she brings her mouth up to my ear.

“Where were you yesterday?”

“Yesterday?”

“Un, un.”

How many times have I been asked this question?

“I was somewhere far away yesterday.”

“Far, far away?”

“Yes.”

“Was there someone you were with? Like the student council president?”

“Yes. I was with Aoi-senpai.”

When I said that, she made a surprised expression and then a worried expression.

“Oh, you know… Take care! There are some bad rumors about Hiiragi-kun right now.”

“Bad rumors?”

“Umm about... that Hiiragi-kun kidnapped the student council president… that you took her by force… and that … you raped her.”

I see.

Now I understand why I’ve been getting so many stares since I arrived at school. I’m sure someone saw me and Aoi-senpai leaving school the day before yesterday, so they suspected me.

Well, it can’t be helped.

But, I was the one who was taken out of school, and I didn’t kidnap or r🬀🬀e her.

However, there’s a world of difference between Aoi-senpai and me in terms of our positions in this school. No matter how much I say that I didn’t do those things, they wouldn’t believe me.

I think it’s more likely that Aoi-senpai won’t say anything either because she has her own position, and it would be more convenient for them to say that she was kidnapped. Maybe that is what they originally intended.

Well… It doesn’t matter. I’m used to it. I just have to endure it again. If I hold on, everything will be fine.

I took my study materials out of my bag for now and decided to wait until the morning class.
