Chapter 9 A Heart in Conflict
#Osananajimi no Kanojo ga Shujinkou ni NetoraretaA Heart in Conflict
“President-san, can I help you with your work?”
“Oh, Kaito-kun, will you help me again today?”
“Yes, I can’t leave a busy person alone.”
“You are so kind. So I’ll accept your kindness.”
Kaito told me he would go to the cafeteria first, and when I arrived late, I found Kaito chatting with a woman who seemed to be friendly with him.
I know her. She’s the president of the student council at this school.
She is an almost perfect woman with an assertive but straightforward personality, athleticism, and beautiful looks. She is very popular, even among the girls, but in reality, she already has a boyfriend at another school.
Then why is she talking to Kaito in such a friendly way?
If it’s not my imagination, the president’s face is not that happy, right?
And Kaito has the same kind smile he always gives me.
I wonder why. It’s hard to go. But, I am Kaito’s girlfriend, so I should go.
“I’ll see you after school.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Oh, the president left. Kaito was left alone.
I waited for the right moment and approached Kaito.
“Kaito-kun, see you again…”
My feet stopped in the middle.
Because Kaito had a satisfied smile on his face.
I had never seen such a face before.
My heart sank.
“Oh, Mia. What are you doing? Let’s eat quickly.”
Kaito noticed my pause and came closer.
“Uh, yeah.”
A smile, as usual. A kind smile.
But it doesn’t clear my mind.
Why does my heart hurt so much?
“Kaito-senpai!”
“Oh, Koharu. What’s going on?”
“Kaito-senpai wanted to see me, so I came here.”
“No, I didn’t.”
“Eh, that’s a lie.”
On another day, a petite junior came to Kaito after school.
She is a cute girl with twin-tail black hair.
I don’t know about the president, but that girl probably likes Kaito.
But that’s no good, right? Kaito is my boyfriend.
“Kaito, shall we go home together?”
I go up to Kaito and talk to him.
Junior-chan stares at me menacingly.
“Kaito-senpai, would you like to go home with me?”
Junior-chan asks Kaito with a sweet voice.
“You know, Kaito is my boyfriend.”
“It’s okay.”
“What?”
My mind goes blank when Kaito readily agrees.
“Hmmm, you wanted to go home with me that badly, didn’t you?”
Junior-chan hugs Kaito’s arm.
Stop it. That’s my place.
“Mia, let’s go home, shall we?”
Kaito says with a smile.
“Uh, yes.”
I’m not sure if I’m laughing well.
I’m Kaito’s girlfriend, right?
